As I turn down the street towards the house I can already sense something is off. There are cars lined up and down the street parked close together. Just as I pull up to Fours house my thoughts are confirmed when I see a mass of people standing on the lawn, some passed out drunk and others dancing to the extremely loud music that I can hear in my car.

"No way" Christina exclaims.

I pull into the drive way, which thankfully is empty and park the car.

"You didn't tell us you were having a party" Shauna says.

"I didn't know. But I think I know why Four didn't want us home till late" I mutter getting out of the car.

To say I was angry would be an understatement, I was pissed. Not only did he have a party, but he didn't even think about asking me if I was okay with it. I know it's not my house but I was living here temporarily and so in my defence I think I had a say.

We grab our bags and head towards the front door avoiding red cups and people on the ground. If I thought the amount of people outside was a lot I was totally wrong. As I step inside the smell of alcohol and weed fill my nostrils. Not to mention the amount of people. It was packed, to the point where I'd need to push my way through.

"This is awesome Tris! I'm gonna drop my bags in your room and change into something else." Marlene squeals.

I sigh at her happiness but follow her and the rest of the girls upstairs to my room. I push my way through and unlock my bedroom door, thankful that Four had the decency to lock my room so no one would use it for their needs. I lock the door behind us and dump my bags in my closet.

"Tris lighten up" Lynn chuckles, "let's just enjoy it while it's happening"

"Yeah, stop with that resting bitch face and have a drink" Shauna laughs.

"I do not have resting bitch face" I gasp, a small smile appearing on my lips.

"You should put that black dress on and have fun tonight" Christina genuinely smiles at me.

I sigh loudly and shake my head, "pass me the dress."

It was just after 9:30 and I was half way through my first cup of vodka and Sprite. It was an odd mix but I liked it. I wasn't one to drink but Marlene had insisted that I have at least one drink. We were all in the kitchen talking with one another and I finally had the chance to look around.

Christina was to my left wearing a beige dress that flowed to mid thigh. She was talking to Marlene and both of them were laughing. Shauna and Lynn both wore a borrowed pair of shorts and tank tops. They were flirting with a pair of boys who I recognized were on the schools soccer team. I smile as Lynn flicks her hair over her shoulder and laughs into one of boys shoulder.

I glance down at my black strap sandals that I paired with the dress and pull my hair over my right shoulder. I had let my hair loose from its tight bun I had put up while I was at the mall. It was now in soft waves ending mid-stomach.

"Hey"

I look up and see a guy smiling at me. He's cute with short blond hair and green eyes. His smile shows his perfect set of teeth and his nose is slightly crooked but it's something you only notice when actually look. He's wearing a pair of baby blue shorts that end at his knees and a white t-shirt hugging his muscles. I recognize him as the baseball teams pitcher.

"Hi" I smile.

"Beatrice right?" He asks.

"Yeah but I prefer Tris."
