Her Life Story.

Chapter 3- Base 1127

  The inside wasn't as beautiful as the outside, but it was amazing. Hunters and huntresses dressed in camouflage walked around with cool gadgets and trinkets, on the left of the area scientists studied animals, the right had simulators with young hunters and huntresses battling and training each other, in the center was a round table where they got assigned a case.
"Bailee I hope you don't mind me asking, but why the fish sticks is this little girl doing in base 1127" asked the same deep voice I heard behind the door
  Bailee and Eve both turned around to see a tall figure. It was a boy in his teens, most likely Bailee's age, who had brown / blond hair, hazel blue eyes, and looked like he would be a jock who played football. He was cute though.
  "She's here with me" Bailee pulled me next to her
  "What about the boy we sent you looking f-" he stopped "oh I see. Well if she's holding a special factor then we should send her to the suspect room"
  "What? I don't know anything" Eve protested
  "Yeah I've already talked to her Casper" Bailee moved towards him
  "Aren't you going to introduce yourself" she smiled at him
  "Ok then" he held out his hand "I'm Logan McCarter, but you can call me Casper. I'm Bailee's partner and a handy man in combat"
  "Eve Saguaro. I'm here with Lee or Bailee Woods. I found this necklace in my hole in the ground. I think that's it" Eve said
"Well then. Hope you feel welcomed" Casper chuckled
Bailee watched as he went back to the right and went in a simulator she watched as he fought fake robots. Then sighed.
"You like him don't you" Eve butted into her daydreaming
She blinked "What?! We are like siblings. We grew up together. He was there when my mom died and when my dad wasn't there. He's like my buddy. Ew that's so gross"
"That's what all the girls who goggles over there guy friend say" Eve murmured
  "Oh grow up" she turned around, and I guess I had to follow her
  "Hey wait up" Eve yelled
  Bailee didn't stop. She was probably thinking about Casper. She didn't look back. Bailee led the two to a door made of bark. Except the handle that Bailee turned was iron. When they pushed the door open, two men and a women sat around a table of wood. The room was lit by the open roof above. The woman, who had fire red hair spoke up.
  "Who's this lovely girl" she purred
  "It's my pleasure to introduce Eve Saguaro" Bailee bowed and Eve followed "she was found wearing the necklace. The boy was not with her, and she has no knowledge of any of the case my lady"
  "I see" said one of the guys with jet black hair that looked up to the necklace "Did you see the boy anywhere"
  "No sir" Eve could hear Bailee"s heart thump loudly
  "Anything further on the case" said the sleek voice of the other man with brown hair
  "No sir. Just this girl" Bailee looked towards Eve. So did everyone else.
  "I found it in my hiding spot. It's my hole under the ground in the middle of the forest. Nobody but me knows where it is. Well except Bailee. She followed me there. I found it Saturday. I have not the slightest clue why it was there, but it is pretty" Eve smiled down at it
  "She didn't make a promise. Did she?" The guy with spiked black hair pointed out
  "Oops" Eve looked at her feet
  "Well we have to keep her here for a few days then. We can make a fit. Make her feel at home. Just don't lose her ok. Give her a schedule and everything. She will be like a normal hunter" spoke the fire haired girl
  "Yes my lady" Bailee bowed and turned to leave but the man with brown hair stopped her
  "Don't lose her. Keep a close eye" he whispered into her ear
  "Yes sir" she whispered back
  Eve bowed and ran after Bailee. She handed her a schedule and map. Then gave her a big bag of clothes.
  "Well that was intense back there" Eve commented
  "They are the head of the base. They should be respected" Bailee pointed out
  "Ok then. So I'm staying here" Eve looked at the map.
  "You will be in room 23. And your classes are close. Training for you begins tomorrow" Bailee held out a key for Eve.
  "Will I have a roommate" Eve asked
  "Of course. The base isn't that big. Hope you don't mind getting paired up in a room with a boy" she pushed me into an elevator before I could protest
A boy. In the same room. I can't do this. Can I wake up now please. Eve thought in desperation, but when the doors of the elevator slide open, she knew it wasn't a nightmare. Room 23. Where is it? Oh here. Eve slide the key in the lock, turned it, heard a click, then twisted the knob.
  "Well they didn't tell me my room mate was this beautiful" came a voice
  She saw a boy with short brown hair, his eyes green, and he was as short as her. Might be the same age as me. He smiled and showed his crystal white teeth.
  "What's your name sugar" he shut the door behind Eve
"They didn't tell me my roommate was this annoying" Eve back talked
He chuckled "awe come on. I'm just getting to know a person" Eve said nothing "Fine I'll go first. The names Matt, Matt Crude. And you are"
"Eve Saguaro" She held out her hand so he could shake it. Instead he took it and kissed her on the hand.
"It was a pleasure meeting you" he smirked. Eve quickly pulled her hand away in disgust.
At least it's not like home. Eve thought to herself as she set down her things on the empty bed. She had just now realized she didn't bring much from home. The only thing there was was the things Bailee gave to her. Plus the cloths she was wearing, but that's it.
  "Not a hoarder are you. Well that's ok. Not that much room anyway"
  "Couldn't really pick up much stuff from home. I was kind of rushed here" Eve put the clothes in a dresser
  "Well that happens to all of us" he laid down in his bed
  "How did you get here then" Eve asked intrigued
  "That's for me to know and you to find out" he said
Click went the intercom "All starters to the mess hall, all starters to the mess hall. Thank you" boomed a threatening voice.
"Well that's us. Better get going butter cup. Don't want to be late for the belt show case" he opened the door
"Don't call me that" Eve threatened. Ugh why can't guys be normal! Sugar! Buttercup! You got to be kidding me. She picked up her walk, so she could lose him. She was hoping to get to the elevator before him.
"Slow your roll. We have to stick together" he ran up to her
"Why" Eve could take care of her self
He sighed as if it was annoying to him "because we are partners now. Partners stick together"
"PARTNERS" Eve stopped in her tracks. Why! Why me? Why today?
