Chapter 40- Daisy Isn't Cute

  "Can you please stop making that flapping noise! I can't work with distractions" Bailee pleaded with anger
  Raven rubbed her eyes from her short nap. "I really think you're starting to loose it. Try hitting your head with that rock over there. It can help"
  "Listen you-" she turned around. "Raven w-wake up" she whispered fearfully
  "Five more minutes dad" she snored. Then Raven let out a loud snore. Bailee clamped her hand around Raven's face. "Hey! What's the big i-"
  "Shhh! It will hear you" Bailee whispered. They listened and looked. You could hear a loud flapping noice and an enormous figure flying over them.

  "Look I'm not a bad guy. Honestly, you can't kill me. I-I'll do anything" Casper tried getting them to stop. They continued with their chant.
  Casper rolled his eyes at them. Reaching into his pocket, he whipped out a pocketknife. He started to cut his rope. A few minutes later he was loose. He slowly jumped down from the pile of wood. He walked slowly to what appeared to be the mouth of the cave.

  Raven let out a high pitched scream. This alerted the monster of their location.

  A high pitched scream came from no where. The people turned their heads and they all charged after him. Casper ran as fast as he could with his long legs, but each tiny person seemed to jump on him. He fought back and they kept biting him.
"Ow" he yelped
One bit him on the arm and with a cracked girly voice she purred. "He's so strong"
Another bit him on the leg. Her voice came scratchy. "Oh yes. What a firm leg"
Another one bit his ear. She had a low hush voice. "I bet he is a good listener"
The biggest one again came forth. The three girl midgets came up to him. "Your majesty, he seems fit to marry the princess, your daughter"
The king rubbed his beard thoughtfully. He stepped on Casper's chest. Picking up his chin and looking at his weirded out face, the king smiled. "Yes, he is a good lad. Although ruining our heaven, he'll marry my daughter! Prepare the wedding!"
"Wedding" Casper choked. "Help" he yelled but the sounds of happiness killed his sorrow.

Bailee saw the enormous mass flying towards them. "Son of a-"
It roared loudly. The monster spit out fire from its throat. It came straight for them. Bailee quickly shoved them out of the way. That was close.
"Ew! Get that reptilian away from me" Raven cried in disgust
Bailee did an eternal face palm. "It's just a big lizard. Get a hold of yourself. It can't be that bad"
   "Do you even see the size of that thing! Might as well be asking to be barbecued" Raven stubbornly disagreed.
  "Come on, haven't you always wanted to ride a dragon. They're pretty cool"
  "Bailee, never in a million years" Raven curled in a ball
  Bailee stood up. "And I thought you were strong. I'll take care of this myself"
"Hey! You! Yeah the dragon flying over there!" She caught the dragons attention. It roared, shaking the ground under Bailee's feet.
  "Woah! Was a ledge always here" she jumped over to another ledge and rock climbed her way up. Then signaled Raven to hide, but it wasn't her first priority. The dragon flew over.
Bailee tried her best to hang on the rock as the dragon slapped her off the ledge with its tail. She was thrown into a nearby rock.
"This isn't good" Raven watched from the same ledge with the hole in the wall.
Bailee got up quickly and rock climbed up again. The dragon shot fire straight at her. She swung from loose rocks to another. When the dragon was just directly under her, she made the risky attempt to jump on its head. She was spot on.
It shook its head with great strength. Flapping it's wings in different directions, it roared loudly. Bailee grabbed on to its scales for support. She didn't know how long she could hold on. It spat out fire and she almost got burnt.
"Woah horsy, settle down. I'm going to ride you out of here" The dragon was not having any of this malarkey. It thrusted its body to the wall. Raven watched as Bailee's body fell onto a ledge and was still.
  "Hey! Dragon breath! That's my friend" Raven barked. The dragon flapped over it seemed to laugh at Raven. She stomped her foot. Cringing, Raven slapped the nuzzle of the dragon. Stunned, it whimpered.
  "Now you listen to me you giant gecko. I've had enough of your bullying. So you are going to take me to those short people on the other side of the wall! And! You'll leave us alone. Got that" the dragon whimpered and nodded. Raven ran over to Bailee.
  "Please don't be dead" she turned the hunter over. Bailee's eyes fluttered open, but she didn't move. "Oh don't move! You'll hurt yourself" Raven lifted Bailee up on her shoulders and pulled her over to the dragon.
  "Now take us to the short people"

  "Yes, the flowers, oh! That cake is splendid! Yes that dress is fabulous and that fabric" the King danced at the preparations of his daughters wedding.
  Casper shook the cage that they stuck him in. "Look, I'm flattered, honestly. But I-I can't marry! I'm too young"
  "Nonsense. You'll love the kings daughter" assured a maid setting chairs
  "Yes, she's very ugly" nodded the one bringing the tables
  "Um... I don't think that's a good thing"
  Another short lady but in. "Yes scales and everything. Oh I haven't seen a princess so hideous before. And her voice, like nails on a board"
  A male servant nearby dropped in. "I heard she was fattened up over the summer. Poor girl was skinny half her life. Could you imagine the terror"
  "That's not-"
  The king interrupted him. "Yes, you'll make a fine ruling prince. Now where is she. Uh... Mr. Pasta"
  "Yes sir" a short stubby man with orange hair stepped up
  "Where is the princess"
  "She left her room early Sir, I'm afraid this is her outside time. She'll be back any minute now"
  "Well. Get her ready when she arrives"
  Raven watched from a rock. She tied the dragon up at the entrance of the cave. "Bailee wake up" she whispered
  "Daddy! Daddy! Where are you!" roared a voice
  "Daisy is that you" the king turned to see a dragon at the mouth of the cave. "Oh heavens Daisy who tied you up"
  "These two mean girls. One was just so annoying trying to climb on me. The other was terribly rude. Slapped me right in the nuzzle. But I was still in dragon form and couldn't make out what they looked like"
  "Daisy turn to human I can't hear you very well" The king petted the claw of the dragon. The dragon morphed into a human alright. She was the opposite of hideous, but more than beautiful. Her hair was like fine silk and her smile was glowing.
  Casper had to slap himself to stop looking.
  "I don't mind marrying her" Casper smiled.
  "Do I get to eat him afterwards" Daisy giggled
  The king nodded. "Anything you want Daisy. It's your special day"
  "Yay! Thank you daddy! You're the best" she walked over to the cage. "I'll see you at the honey moon"
  Casper gulped. "Ha... no. You got it all wrong. I'm not tasty"

  Raven slapped Bailee's face. Is she still motionless.
  "Oh I'm so happy" Daisy squealed as she hugged Casper's cage
  He mumbled. "I'm not"
  Raven slapped Bailee one more time. Bailee slapped her back. "Great at least you are awake. Can you try to stop this engagement"
  "Wa-"
  "You know Casper, the dragon, the babies"
  "I have to save him"
  "From the dragon, or your jealousy"
  "No time to waste"
  Bailee hopped out from her hiding spot and ran up to them. "Stop!"
  Everyone turned to look at her. She blushed a little. Can't believe I'm doing this, but Casper needs me.
  "I, will marry him. For the princess loves another" she improvised
  The king was stunned. "Daisy is this true"
  Bailee couldn't believe it but it worked. "Oh its true! I love someone else. It's the dragon from Burchwood"
  The crowd gasped. "Not that lizard" they frowned.
  "I love him! Maybe you should just crown that man prince and let him marry his true love" she pointed at Bailee and Casper. They awkwardly blushed.
  "A splendid idea Daisy! A marriage continues. All hail prince whatshisname the third"
  "Oh this is great" Raven laughed
  "Help" Bailee whispered before being stuffed in a wedding dress. Raven waited till the middle of the ceremony to interrupt.
  "Hey dragon breath remember me" she taunted
  Daisy growled. "That's the girl! Kill her" The king signaled the action. Raven jumped onto Casper's cage and opened it.
  "Come on king of short stacks. Get your bride and let's go" he didn't have time to react back. Arrows sliced through the air.
  Bailee ran up to them. "Hurry the cave. Are best bet is to jump off the ledge. It might lead to the others"
  "Let's go" Raven yelled. And they jumped, right off the cave.
