It was dark. Four people sat in the same room. They were all tied up and blindfolded with gags shoved in their mouths. There was nothing but wall, except the steal door that had one small window. Through this window they could hear the many conversations the master held with his allies. Amber silently listened near the door.
"You mean to tell me you let them leave". Amber knew that was the voice of the master.
Piper answered him, "I-I didn't mean to. You f-flooded the-"
"Shut up! I've had it with your carelessness. Don't you want to show me you can handle yourself" He scorned
Scarlet's voice suddenly jumped into the conversation, "In her defense sir, she did kill one of them. She used the gun you gave her, but I think she needs to work on her aim. Pippy could have killed the necklace hoarder".
"Hey my names P-"
"Piper, is this true". He asked her. She nodded or Amber assumed she did because his response was, "Excellent job my little birdie! You put that gun to good use. Now I know the first time is a little troublesome, but you get used to it. Still there is no excuse for letting the prisoner free. You are to go and watch the others"
"Yes sir" Piper sounded satisfied with her master's response.
"I helped" Scarlet cut in.
"Then you can help her look after the prisoners", He responded to her emotionless. Scarlet groaned but did not argue further.
Amber scurried away from the door. She heard a big screech and their shoes against the floor. Someone's cold hands grabbed her. She was then thrown back down to the floor. Amber winced but didn't make another noise. Sara huddled next to her dad. Her dad covered over her protectively.
"Take the gag off that one", Piper ordered Scarlet.
Amber's gag was taken off. "Why are you keeping me here". Amber was planning to approach the topic of who they killed. She prayed that it was not Raven.
"Why do you humans ask so many questions? Don't you get it? You're a trap. Surely the others would come to get their dear friend, and we have the family for back up" Scarlet acted like she stated the obvious.
"Others? You are basically out numbered". Don't rush into it Amber. "I'm pretty sure you've lost all other three necklaces. All that's left is Scarlet".
"Well, we already killed one of them", Piper felt insulted. Perfect. "A-and he was the only one with powers even close to Scarlet's."
Sir Trent? No? It can't be? "What have you done".
Scarlet lifted Amber's chin. "We got rid of him, and by the looks of it, Eve and her other five friends are completely human. Plus they'd need Neptune to defeat the likes of me. I'm pretty sure cry baby is on our side of the match". She then pushed Amber's head to the ground.
"You won't get that necklace and you know it! She made a promise to it! I know her, and Eve wouldn't break a promise".
Piper slapped her. "Better keep your mouth shut darling, or you'll catch flies". She seemed to switch personalities. "We're getting off topic. I want to know what your smooth brain knows about Mrs. Phoenix".
"What?" Scarlet questioned.
"Why would you like to know about the base's head leader?" Amber looked up suspiciously at Piper and Scarlet.
"I have my reasons", she went over to Sara. "Plus if you don't tell me, I could just stab you till you bleed tomato sauce. Ha, that's funny. Your friends would never know, and they would come looking for you. Then they too would be covered in tomato sauce"
"Like actual tomatoes?"
"No Scarlet! I mean bleed", Piper snapped.
Amber thought it over in her head. "Okay, what do you want to know. Not that I know much about her".
Piper sat crossed legged on the floor in front of Amber. "What do you know about her past? Did she have a family?"
"I don't know. I don't think she had a family. Some people say Mrs. ,others say miss. She keeps her past very secret from the rest of us. I'm guessing because of hunter reason's"
"Family?"
"Shut your trap Scarlet"
"She always wanted a child. I think that was why she taught us, and I can say she was a nice teacher. She was always there to help out if you had trouble. She was amazing and graceful. Did you know she could dance? She was such a nice dancer" Amber looked up to see if they even took interest in her talking. To her surprise, Piper was listening in awe. Scarlet couldn't care less. "Sometimes I'd ask for lessons. She'd show up to teach the whole grade. I was so pumped when I got excepted into this base she ran. How could a lady like that not have a family"
Piper's expression changed quickly after those words, "W-well maybe she doesn't even care about feelings and l-love". The outburst scared Scarlet. "Come on Scarlet! I don't like to listen to a prisoner's nonsense"
"Um, yes, right". Scarlet rushed out the door. Piper turned back for a minute to say to herself aloud, "If she cared, why would she leave".
Amber heard the steal door shut closed. Opening her mouth to speak, she realized, "They forgot about my gag". She scooted farther away from the door. "Sara honey, do you mind taking my mask off. Just use your tied hands to rub it off"
Sara made a noise for Amber to hear where she was. Amber scooted to the direction. Sara did what she was told and slid the mask off of Amber's face. Amber thanked Sara and looked around. All around her were brick walls. There was the window and door. Moon light shone through the window. It was the only thing illuminating the room. In the corner of her eye, she spotted a shiny object or more like something reflecting the moonlight. "I think I see something that might get us out of here"
