The Dark Side Chapter 2

Annabelle's Pov:

I rummaged through my purse for my phone, muttering under my breath as Ashlyn sat there chuckling to her self. "My parents are going to kill me," I said.

"They won't know," she said. I turned around to face her with a scowl on my face. "Yes. They. Will!" I exclaimed. "Don't worry. We won't be gone for long," she said.

"We better be back before two in the morning. My parents will murder me. They think I'm going over to your house to study," I said. "They didn't believe me because they know how you are," I said.

"Your parents really don't like me do they?" She chuckled. "Nope," I said. "Oh come on. I'm not that bad am I?" She said as I walked out of my room.

She followed closely behind me. I ignored her as I walked out of my front door. I closed the door behind us and locked it with my key. "I can't believe this. I'm not doing home work. I'm lying to my parents. I'm sneaking out to a bar," I said.

"Chill out Annabelle. You will be fine. It's just a bar. What could happen?" She said. She unlocked her car, smirked and got in. I sighed and got in on the passengers side.

I buckled up as she started the ignition and drove.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We pulled up out front of a bar that was located in the smaller art of town. There were motorcycles and cars out front parked in a line. People were smoking and drinking. Chaos was coming from inside.
Drunks were stumbling everywhere. I saw Ashlyn already getting out of her car. I got out quickly and said, "Ashlyn. I don't know about this anymore."
The cool air hitting my skin sending shivers up my spine.
"Annabelle for the last time you will be fine. Have fun," she rolled her eyes and began walking. I sighed and slowly followed after her. "I didn't really have this in mind," I said as we walked through the doors.
The bar itself didn't look bad. It had wooden floors, stools, and stairs. The bar was on some indoor patio. People were sitting and drinking as they talked to one another.
People were having a good time dancing. People dressed nice. "Ashlyn please just-" I stopped to see she was no longer near me. "What a friend," I muttered.
I sighed and looked around me. I slowly walked through the dance floor, pushing past people as I made my way to the bar.
I sat down at one of the bar stools. I swirled in my seat and faced the bartender. "What may I get you this fine evening miss?" He smiled as he cleaned a shot glass.
"Water please," I smiled. "Your not one to drink are you?" He asked. "No," I shook my head. "One water coming up," he said.
There was a loud crash coming from behind me. I turned around to see a tall, bulky, curly hair, emerald green eye toss a man across a table.
The table smashed and broke. My eyes went wide as another man tried throwing a punch but the mysterious man caught the punch and shoved him back.
His arm muscle tighten as another man tried throwing a chair at him but missed. The curly hair man turned around and cocked his head to the side.
The weaker man gulped nervously as the bulky man grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and tossed him across the room.
One of the bartenders grabbed a bat and lifted it above his head to hit the man but the man ducked and threw a punch at the guy's stomach.
He smirked as he scanned the room and yelled, "Anybody else?" Everyone backed away scared as the man smirked to himself.
Everyone quickly went back to what they were doing besides me. I continued to stare at the man.
His eyes caught mine. He smirked and sent me a wink sending chills down though my body. I quickly darted my eyes back to the bartender who set my glass water down in front of me.
The mysterious man walked toward the other end of the bar. He ordered some alcohol drink.
I looked away and picked up my drink. I took a sip from the glass and set it down. "Who is he?" I asked as I nodded my head toward the man.
The bartender looked over and back at me. "That's Harry," he said as he continued to clean the glass cups.
The man, who's name is Harry, laughed at something his group said. I looked back at the bartender.
"He is what you call the bad boy of this town," he said. "What? He acts tough just to put on a scene?" I chuckled.
"Actually this isn't an act," a deep voice said from behind me. The bartender stiffen and awkwardly walked away. My eyes widen as I nervously turned around to be face to face with a green eye curly hair man.
He had on his signature smirk as he stared down at me. I took this as the time to actually get a good looked at him.
He had on a black ripped sleeve top with dark denim jeans. His arms were covered with tattoos, he had a lip ring and an eyebrow piercing.
He pulled his lip ring between his teeth as he sat down. Everyone's eyes were on us. Ashlyn saw me as she quickly shook her head. Fear ran through her eyes.
"Hey! Get back to what you are doing," Harry growled. Everyone's eyes widen as they looked away and continued talking.
I turned away from him and nervously took a sip from my water. My eyes avoided his as he continued to stare at me.
I looked at him from the corner of my eye before looking back at my water. "You know. You seemed pretty interested in me until I came here," he smirked.
I tore my gaze away from my water and up at him. His green eyes glistening in the light. I stayed silent as I eyed him up and down.
"What your not going to talk now?" He frowned. I shook my head and looked over at Ashlyn. She was sitting at the far end of the bar watching me.
"Least I got a shook from you," he said. I looked up at him and said, "So what does a bad boy like you do here? Do you own the place?"
He smirked in his seat as he took someone's filled drink. "Hey that-" the stranger stopped as his eyes landed on Harry. He quickly walked away as Harry chuckled to himself.
"You can say that," he said. "So is everyone is afraid of you?" I asked. He shrugged as he took a sip from his beer. "Are you afraid of me?" He asked as he leaned down to my eye level.
I gulped and shook my head. "What's there to be afraid of?" I asked. He put his lips near my ear as he smirked.
"There is a whole lot to be afraid of," he said. He lingered there for a minute before pulling back.
My eyes widen and my mouth was slightly a gaped. "I'll see you around babe," he winked before he took someone's leather jacket and walked away.
Disappearing in the crowd. I sat in shock. Ashlyn ran over to me to shake me out of my shock state. I snapped out of it and looked up at her.
She grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the bar. We quickly walked back to her car, her getting in the drivers side and me getting in the passengers side.
I saw the familiar curly hair man drive away on his motorcycle before disappearing on the dark street. Ashlyn put the key in the ignition and roared the car to life.
She pulled out of the parking lot and onto the road. "We are done with the night now aren't we?" She nervously laughed to herself.
She tried lightening the mood but she knew she couldn't not after tonight's event.
The car fell silent as we drove the rest of the way home. No words were spoken. Neither of us knew what to say.
The car ride went by slow. We pulled up out front of her house. "What are we doing here?" I asked as I looked over at her. "Oh you know. Just in case he is at your house and you won't be there but be here," she nervously joked.
I sighed and said, "Not the time to joke." She ignored me and got out of her car. I opened the door and got out.
She locked her car door and we quickly walked to her front door. "I sent my mum a text about staying over," I mumbled.
We nodded and opened the door. "Hi sweetie-" "Hi mum. Hi dad. We are tired night," she waved as we jogged up the stairs.
We ran to her room, slamming her door behind us. She screamed and shook me with a smile on her face. I looked at her a bit confused.
"I can't believe you talked to Harry," she gasped, "He is the bad boy of the town." "Correction. He talked to me," I said.
"How come you aren't freaking out?" She asked. "Because I don't want to get involved with him," I said.
She winked and said, "We will see." We jumped flat on her bed after we changed into comfortable clothes.
What a night.
