The Dark Side Chapter 20
We rode back into town. The ride back to my house was silent and I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable. Harry and I haven't spoke a word since the incident back in the club. I wanted to talk about it but by his silent state, I knew I shouldn't bring it up. He was mad enough over it and bringing it up would make things worse, so I kept quiet. The only contact we had was my arms wrapped around his waist as we rode down the rode at full speed. Other than that, there were no words spoken.
After an hour of no talking, we slowly pulled up out front of my house. I didn't hesitate to quickly gather my belongings and climb off of his bike. I ran to the door without another word. My feet pounded against the porch steps before halting at my front door. I dug through my bag and grabbed my keys out and quickly yet shakily slid the key in the hole but a sudden gesture caused me to stop.
I gasp and turned around to be met with loving green eyes. I opened my mouth to speak but he raised his hand and pushed back a loose strand of hair behind my ears. My mouth instantly closed and I looked up at him with great surprise. A smirk fell upon his plumped lips. Without another word, he leaned down and kissed my lips. My eyes closed shut and my lips began to move with his in response. Slowly yet gentle. My fingers raked through his curly hair and played with the ends of his brown locks. He pressed my body against the wooden door and grasp my hips causing both of us to smile. I let out a giggle as he pulled back with a smile on his face.
I scanned his eyes for any emotion but he hid them too well. "What was that for?" I whispered. "Why did you kiss me?" He smiled. "Because I love you," he breathed. A smile formed across my lips. He kissed me once more before I could say anything and ran back to his bike, leaving me with great surprise. I watched him ride away into the darkness. "He loves me?" I blushed with a smile on my face. The smile quickly vanished as I heard crunching leaves. I jumped as I saw a figure standing by my front yard tree. It was a curvy yet slim women with long hair that was blonde. Her blue eyes were evident in the dark along with the visible smirk plastered on her lips. She wore a black mask over her face to cover up her features besides her lips and eyes.
"Hello?" I called out. She leaned her head to the side and took a step forward. Fear ran through me as I watched the lady walk closer. "W-who are you?" I stuttered in fright. She let out a loud laugh as she watched up the porch steps and stopped once she stood in front of me. I nervously gulped and turned away but her hand gripped my jaw and made me look at her. Her blue eyes stared intensely back at me. "What do you want?" I gasp. "I'd watch your back if I were you," she spat with hatred evident in her voice. My lip quivered and I felt a tear slide down from my eye.
"What?" I whispered. "What are you talking about?" "Harry," she spoke harshly. My eyes widen as I asked, "What about him?" She chuckled humorously and said, "Don't become too attach hun. He may be dreamy but he isn't what you think." I frowned and said, "You don't know him." She raised an eyebrow and said, "Neither do you." I closed my mouth knowing she was right. I don't fully know him. I looked down and whispered, "Why are you wearing a mask? Who are you?" "If I tell you then I'd have to kill you," she smirked. I looked up as she let go of my jaw.
"We will surely meet again," she nodded as she backed away. "Wait!" I hollered after her but it was too late. She ran away off towards the direction where Harry went. I wanted to chase after her but I stopped myself and instead I walked inside of my house. I closed the door instantly behind me in fright. I couldn't help but let my mind wander off to Harry. Could he be trusted?
Harry's Pov:
It was now official. I have fallen utterly in love with Annabelle Smith. What ever happened to 'I don't fall in love' type of thing? Well, that is now all gone and I believe she will change me. She already has. She makes me feel like a different person. The affect she has on me is indescribable. The worst part is that I cannot shake the deal off. I should have known this would end badly. When Annabelle finds out, she will hate me and I would not blame her but I cannot lose her. Not now. Not ever.
"What a charmer Harry Styles! You sure have her wrapped around your finger," a voice laughed from behind me. I turned around to be met with those familiar blue eyes I once knew and loved. I placed my bike keys on the nearby table in my apartment and walked towards the tough girl. She pulled her mask off and stared back at me. Her eyes were evident with evil and mischief. "What do you mean?" I frowned. Her devilish smile grew wider. "She doesn't even know you yet she would do anything for some monster like you," she said. "What did you do?!" I roared with anger. "Let's say we had a little chat," she said as she examined her finger nails.
I screamed and shoved her against the white wall. My fist gripped tightly on her shirt as I picked her up off the ground. All she did was laugh. "Am I getting to you Harry?" She smirked. "Leave her out of this," I spat. My muscles in my jaw clenched in anger and through out my whole body. "Why should I? She deserves it!" She screamed in anger. "NO!" I roared infuriated. "She does not," I sneered. "Would you really want the whole city including Annabelle to know what the charming bad boy Harry styles really did? Or do you want to continue with this deal we made?" She asked. My frowned faded but soon returned as I gripped onto her shirt tighter.
"I said leave her out of this. She has done nothing," I said. "Oh," she laughed humorously, "She has. She stole the most important thing away from me." "And what is that?" I asked. "You." My hard gaze fell from my face as I backed away. "W-What?" I gasp. "I always saw the way you watched her from afar. Even before you two met. I wouldn't blame you. She has everything. The looks, the grades, the personality. I knew the biggest bad boy does fall in love. Even twice," she whispered. "What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Will you open your eyes Styles?! I still love you! We had something before but you threw it all away for some girl who happened to be my best friend!" She screamed. "Ashlyn-" "No Harry. She deserves it. You will hurt her just as much as you hurt me. Even if it means by force. I have power over you and there is nothing you can do," she spat. I frowned and said, "I will not hurt her." She raised an eyebrow at me and laughed. "Oh yeah? What are you going to do about it? I am the leader of all of the most dangerous gangs and you are nothing but a pathetic man who has no family and killed a man."
"Do not bring up my family or my dark past! You and I both know it was an accident. I tried to save him," I screamed. "Yet you watched him die! You went along with me and watched him burn," she yelled. "If only you saw the look in his eyes as he screamed out in agony and pain. He begged and pleaded as you made me kill an innocent man! I regret that day but I was glad because I saw who you really were. You are not the girl who I used to draw almost every night. You are not the innocent girl I once loved. Nothing will make me ever love you again," I screamed.
She smirked and folded her arms across her chest. "You better watch your mouth. Annabelle may be my friend but she isn't worth saving," she said. "Stay away from her," I growled. "Or what?" She whispered in my ear. "I thought you don't fall in love Harry Styles or have you already? I will make your precious and innocent Annabelle's life a living hell. She will beg for you to come save her but you and I both know that you won't." She smiled innocently at me. "Don't you dare touch her," I frowned.
She said nothing but give my lips a rough kiss as she pressed me against the wall. I was taken my surprise by her actions. Her hands gripped tightly in her balled fists. My hands were pressed against the wall and my eyes were wide open. When she bit my lip, I couldn't help but let out a muffled moan and closed my eyes. My tongue grazed her bottom lip. She opened my mouth just enough for my tongue to slip in. My two hands rested on her small waist underneath her shirt. My tongue grazed against hers. We kissed lustfully and rough for what felt like hours which were only minutes.
I gripped onto her bum causing her to jump and wrapped her legs around my torso. Her hips moved gracefully with mine. I flipped us around and pressed her back against the wall. I gripped onto the ends of her shirt and pulled it over her head leaving her in exposure of her chest. She fumbled with my shirt and lifted it over my head before tossing it on the ground nearby before our lips met again. This felt so wrong yet so right.
"Ashlyn," I moaned. She smirked against my lips before pulling away. I looked at her surprise to why she had stopped. She jumped off of me and slid on her shirt. Her long legs made their way to the lift before walking in. She pressed a button and turned to face me. "Don't let Annabelle find out," she winked before the doors closed. My face and heart fell.
Annabelle.
