The Dark Side Chapter 5
~*~*~*~
I ran down my stairs yelling, "I'll get it," in panic. I swung open my door to be faced with Ashlyn. I sighed in relief.
"Annabelle," she grinned from ear to ear. "Are you ready to go?" I asked. "Yes that is why I am here," she said. "Bye mum. Dad," I said. "Be back by six for dinner," my mum rounded the corner and eyes Ashlyn.
Ashlyn rolled her eyes and said, "Don't worry Mrs. Smith I will have her back by six." My mum nodded with worry and hesitation as I gave one final wave before exiting the flat.
"Your mom doesn't trust me nor like me," Ashlyn spoke in disbelief. "Maybe that's because your always out at parties past midnight and are never home by your curfew," I joked as we jogged to her car.
My phone went off signaling that I had a text. I dug out in my bag in search for my phone. "You said no phones," she teased. "I'm sorry I'm so obsessed with it," I said followed with a chuckled.
My phone lit up with a text message from the familiar unknown number. I slid it open to reveal our previous messages from last night and right now.
You look gorgeous today. Turn around. I looked up from my phone in confusion as I turned around. I jumped back to see Harry driving down the street on his motorcycle.
Ashlyn came out of her car, confused why I didn't come in. Harry slowly pulled up behind Ashlyn's car. Harry kicked the bike stand before getting off and walking over to me.
He wrapped an arm around my shoulder and gave my cheek a kiss. Ashlyn's eyes widen in surprise at Harry's actions. I jumped and pulled out from his touch.
He looked a little hurt but brushed it off. "Are we ready to go?" He asked. "Where?" I asked. "I'm taking you somewhere then I'm meeting your parents," he said.
"Your parents Annabelle?" Ashlyn asked in disbelief. I looked over at her and shrugged. I was a bit unsure.
Harry ran his fingers through his hair a few times. He then stuffed his hands in his pockets. He licked his lips and bit on his lip ring. His tattoos were in full view.
He wore a v neck black tee that showed his tattoo sleeves and his chest tattoos. A few tattoos on his neck were showing. He wore dark jeans with brown boots.
His hair up styled up and he had his piercing still. His eyebrow and his lip were pierced.
"Your going to allow him to meet your parents?" She asked in astonishment. "I-I don't-" "Yes she is," Harry frowned. "Why? Is there a problem?" He asked. Ashlyn nodded and stepped forward.
"I don't know who you think you are Harry but if I were you I'd back off," Ashlyn snapped causing my eyes to widen. Harry bit his lip in concentration.
He stepped closer to her and pushed his shoulders back. He looked much taller, buffer, and scarier with his new posture. "I don't think you know who I am. This has nothing to do with you," Harry snapped.
Ashlyn seemed surprise at his response. She didn't know what to do besides nodded with fear before saying, "I will be going. Annabelle have fun with your bad boy." She frowned as she rolled her eyes at me before getting in her car and driving away.
I stood there mouth a gaped as I watched her drive. I frowned and turned towards Harry. I pushed on his chest with much power I got but I barely pushed him over. He chuckled in amusement.
"What were you thinking?" I snapped. He looked down astonished. "It's simple babe. She needed to go," he said before walking to his bike. "She is no good for you," he said. "Oh like you aren't?" I yelled. I rested my hands on my hips, frowning.
He had on a smirk as he turned around slowly. He walked forward till his feet stood planted right in front of my small ones. His body over towering me.
He leaned down to my eye level. He stood there for a minute, looking at me up and down, before speaking. "You know nothing of what I am capable of. You know nothing about me Annabelle Smith. Your little friend is nothing like me so I suggested keeping things to yourself," he said.
My eyes widen as I watched him turn around. "Now come on. I'm taking you somewhere," he said. "I'm not leaving," I said. "Yes you are," he frowned. "You can't make me," I spat. He chuckled amused before I felt my self be lifted off the ground.
"Harry Styles you put me down this instant," I yelled. I pounded his back as hard as I could but he roared with laughter. I kicked and struggled but couldn't get loose. I sighed in defeat as he sat me down on his bike.
He swung his legs over and sat down. He put the key in the ignition and started the motorcycle. He twisted the handle of his bike before taking off down the road.
I wrapped my small arms around his torso; afraid that I would fall off. We rode out of the neighborhood and on the Main Street. "Where are we going?" I asked after a moment of silence. "You will see," he said.
We drove down past people between the rode. "You know this isn't safe," I said. "I know," he said. "And yet you still do it," I shook my head annoyed.
"You know. Your really cute when your annoyed," he winked. My cheeks turned bright red and my eyes widen in surprise. He guffaw at my reaction.
I stayed silent through out the ride. If I kept quiet he wouldn't say anything. We were driving the same rode as yesterday. The familiar signs were coming into view. "Are we going to the same place where you left me?" I asked.
He only nodded in response. I gulped and nodded. I hate that place. That was one of the most terrifying things I've ever witness. A mysterious yet dangerous man telling me he wants only me.
I sighed and looked around at my surroundings. Once in awhile I would get a few stares. Some were gobsmacked -not so surprising- and a few confused stares. Also not so surprising. I've been getting those a lot.
It's a small town so word gets around easily. Thank goodness my parents haven't heard a word. They aren't one to gossip. Sadly they would be getting a heart attack tonight.
I looked over his shoulder to see he was once again in deep thought. He bit onto his lip ring, which I noticed he does a lot, and his eyebrows were furrowed.
I bit my lip and sat back with a smile. Soon this would be all over. I mean he would find someone new right? Right.
We arrived at the familiar entrance of the woods. I couldn't help but feel a bit anxious, nervous. I felt like cradling and huddling up in a ball or even running away.
Harry kicked the bike stand and got off. I followed after him. "You aren't going to leave me again are you?" I raised an eyebrow. "Of course not babe," he sent me a charming smile and I couldn't help but blush.
He took my hand and guided me through the woods. It surprised both him and I that I didn't pull away. His hands were big, warm, soft, and to my surprise comforting. I felt safe when I'm around this man.
I knew nothing about him and I feel safe and secure but then again I feel threaten and scared. We walked through some trees as he guided me.
"Where is this place here in the woods?" I asked. "Just through those trees," he answered. We emerged from the tree to be in a hidden area with trees surrounding, a little creek with a small waterfall, a platform of a rocks, it was a very green scenery.
He guided me to the rocks and we sat down. The only sound you could hear was the water falling and the crickets by the creek. I laid back on my arms as I looked at the beautiful scenery in silence.
Harry fidget in his spot before he turned to face me and took my hands in his. "Annabelle," he began. He was hesitant with his words. "I'm going to be completely honest with you," he spoke.
I looked at him curious to know what he has to say. "There is so much about me that no one understands. There is a lot for you to know about me that you can't know at the moment," he said. "I'm not one of the good guys. I'm a very dangerous man," he spoke, "You should be scared of me." He spoke with sincere in his voice.
He looked down then up in my concern eyes. His face was inches away from mine. "I'm not scared," I whispered. I pushed his curls back to get a good look at his face. "You should be," he said. I shook my head. "I don't see anything to be afraid of," I said.
He chuckled humorously and said, "Oh but there is." I scanned his eyes. "Why?" I asked. "Why what?" He asked. "Why me?" I whispered as I ran my fingers up his arm.
His tensed muscle seemed to relax under my touch. His eyes never left me. I looked up at him as he spoke.
"There is something about you that I can't explain. Something about you draws me to you. I promise you will be safe," he said. He pulled me close to him and held me in his embrace.
"I won't let anything hurt you," he whispered.

We pulled up out front of my house. He kept his motorcycle running. "Thank you," I said as I swung my legs over. He gave me a small nod. "I'll be over at six for dinner," he dropped his eyelid down in a wink.
My heart stopped as I slowly nodded. "You didn't think I would forget?" he chuckled. "Don't worry. I'll make a good first impression," he smiled.
"See you tonight," he said. He caressed my hand and gave my cheek a light kiss. He sat back down on his bike and drove off.
I let out a breath that I was holding in. I turned around and walked up to my front door. I opened the door and walked in. I closed it behind me and pressed my back against the door.
"Mum? Dad?" I nervously spoke out. They walked around the corner of the kitchen with a smile. I gave them a weak smile. "I have a guest coming over tonight," I said.
"I want you to meet him," I said. A smile lit up on my mum's face. "It is a boy I see?" She teased which caused me to blush. I nodded and gave a nervous smile. "He wants to meet you two tonight," I said.
"Well we can't wait to meet him."
