Chapter 7

Seth’s POV

I woke up from possibly the best night of sleep I’ve ever had. I had the most amazing dream, there was a party, and Melissa, and a night drive… absolutely amazing.

I tried to turn over to wait for my alarm clock to go off, but there was something on top of me. Something with very long blond hair… Melissa? What is she doing here?

She was wearing the same dress as she did in my dream, so is this still a dream? We’re in the same place; my car is still behind us, the view of the water still crystal clear.

Melissa stirred on top of me, then started yawning. She looked up at me and smiled, “Morning King Kong,” she mumbled.

Wait a second, this is real? Last night actually happened?

“What’s with that look?”

I looked at Melissa again, she was staring at me strangely, “What look?”

“The look on your face that has confusion written all over it, duh.”

I thought for a moment, “Why did you really invite me to the party last night?”

Her breathing hitched a little, but that’s the only reaction I got out of her. She glanced away from me, “That’s a story for another day,” she said, nothing more.

I managed to sit up, bringing Melissa up with me, and she cradled herself into my lap. She’s so small compared to me, I’m surprised I didn’t squash her last night. I looked at her beautiful yet very sleepy face, god she is stunning.

She caught me staring, I moved my eyes away and I could feel my blush on my cheeks, I felt her chuckle quietly in my arms. Her hand came to my face, forcing me to turn and look at her. Her eyes were bright blue, and it feels like she can see straight through to my soul, to places I really don’t want her to see.

So I leaned forward and kissed her. She smiled under my kiss, making me chuckle, but she pulled back quickly, “Euw, morning breath!”

“Oh, I’m sorry I didn’t realize. Come, let’s go to my house and get cleaned up,” I stood slowly, stretching my arms and legs. Melissa got up too, and started walking to my car.

“I really love your car. You’re lucky to have one of these babies.”

I groaned, another admirer, really?

“What?” she asked confused.

“Sorry, but I hate this stupid thing.”

Her eyes widened in shock, “How can you hate a car like this?”

I said nothing. I just unlocked the door and opened it for her, once she was in I closed the door and walked around to the driver’s side. I got in and started the car quickly reversing so I could drive away from this amazing place.

The drive home only took fifteen minutes. Melissa fell asleep in the first five. When I parked outside my house, she stirred but didn’t wake, so I walked around to her side picking her up gently as I could and carried her inside to my room. I lay her on my bed, and then ran outside to lock the car, I may not like the damn thing but I’m not taking any chances.

I went back inside to the kitchen, where I made some scrambled eggs and toast and took some grated cheese out of the fridge. I placed the food and cutlery on a tray, brought it to my room and put it on my desk, going back to grab some juice and cups.

On my way back to my room, I checked on my parents, they were still sleeping. I wonder what time it is? I went to my room and looked at my alarm clock, 6:15 AM. No wonder everyone is still asleep.
