Rewritten is now published! It's better for me as a writer to create something I love then drag on with something I don't.
The Rewritten will
-have similar plot
-same characters
-have smoother transition
-overall better, just sayingIt would mean a lot if you would check it out
Love,
Allie206 Bitch Bones and 1 Curly Fry
I was still smiling when Devin and I went to my locker. He leaned on the locker next to mine staring at the photos I had in a collage on the metal door. I followed his eyes into a Polaroid of us bathing in the bathtub together.
"Remember when you had farted in the tub?" A small smile on his lips.
I cringed at the memory, "Well you peed so ha!"
We were splashing in the bubble bath playing with our bath toys. Devin's little body went under and tickled my feet. "Mommy! Devin tickled my feet again."
"So?" He snapped back.
"Jayne, Devin is just playing." My mother was preoccupied on the phone. Too busy to give us a sparing glance.
The little boy stuck his tongue out at me, splashing around with his submarine. I was playing with the squirting turtle when a bubbly sounded in the white porcelain tub. I blushed, hoping Devin hadn't noticed.
"Ew! You farted Jayne!" He pointed a wrinkled little finger at me.
"No! I did not!"
"Did too!"
"Did not"
"Did not!"
"Did too!" I gasped at his trick. "You tricked me! I did not fart. Mommy says good girls don't fart!"
"Then who did it?"
"It was the," I looked around, "The squirty turtle!"
"Liar!"
"Well you pee pee in the tub!"
I watched as his face paled and then his cheeks tinted pink.
"Did not!" He crossed his arms at me, pouting.
"Did too!"
A flashed blinded us as my mother held up a vintage Polaroid camera.
"Mommy! Devin's wee wee did pee pee!" I pointed at him accusingly.
"Did not! She fart!" He returned the accusingly finger.
Another white flash went off.
"At least I didn't blame it on a toy turtle."
I stuck my tongue out and pulled out my English notebook and his before closing my locker shut. Devin never used his locker, he had always kept his stuff in my locker. The boy never studied, yet managed to pass every test. He was a closet nerd. He would kill me if I told anyone about all of his perfect scores.
The bell rang as we walked down the hallway, walking around the slow freshmen and occasionally grimacing at the PDA from the couples. I stopped walking causing Devin to bump into my back.
"Why did you stop?" Devin asked from behind me.
"Cara." I whispered.
"You're scared of her?" He laughed.
