Rewritten is now published! It's better for me as a writer to create something I love then drag on with something I don't.
The Rewritten will
-have similar plot
-same characters
-have smoother transition
-overall better, just sayingIt would mean a lot if you would check it out
Love,
AllieBitches Be Crazy
I woke up on Monday unsure of whether Devin had calmed down from his moodiness yet. I was dressed in a navy blue sweater and white jeans, ready for the crisp air. My hair laid down lazily around my brown face. It was Monday and the sky was gray, adding an ominous feeling to the small town.
Usually, Devin would call me, but today was silent. I was still confused why he snapped at me the other day; it was nothing to get angry about but maybe he had finally became sick of me. Fourteen years of me, maybe he decided he needed better friends and less annoying friends. I grabbed an apple downstairs and decided to just go to school without him.
I looked around for his car in the parking lot. I looked around at the students talking to their friends about their weekend. I was too dependent on Devin. He had always been in my life, that I just expected him around. Taking a bite of my apple, I stared down at my boots, shuffling the fallen brown and red crunchy leaves. A pair of red flats in front of my boots caused me to look up.
"Aw, Is poor Jayne all alone?" Cara pouted at me. Two of her friends showed up behind her snickering.
"What do you want Cara?"
"Devin." She tilted her head. I squinted my eyes, taking a bite of my apple, keeping eye contact. I actually didn't know how to respond to that. Devin had proposed the fake dating idea, but I didn't know the status of it.
Was it off?
"Well?" She tapped her foot expectantly.
I swallowed, "You can't give and take away human beings, Cara."
"Shut up." Was her smart reply. Her irrelevant friends behind her smirked and nodded as if she just made the greatest comeback ever. "All you are is a cheating, boyfriend taking, slut."
Students around us quieted down, some getting their phones ready in case of another fight. I had just ditched my sling (It got annoying after a while) and I wasn't in the mood to see it anytime soon.
"You think I don't know what happened last year? Devin told me. He loves me, not you."
"Cara-"
"No. You stole my boyfriend."
The bell to get inside the school rang but no one moved an inch. This would be the perfect time for Devin to come in out of nowhere and defend me from his ex.
"Cara. He broke up with you, there are other guys-"
"No!" She stomped her foot. "We love each other!"
"This bitch is crazy." Someone from the crowd said, causing chuckles.
"How about I tell them?" Cara smirked.
My face fell and I began to feel nauseated. She wouldn't.
"Get to class now!" The principal came out of the building with his face red, causing students to scurry along.
Thank You!
Cara was about to follow when I grabbed her arm to stop her. "Cara, please I don't know what you know exactly but you have no right to tell people my business."
