Rewritten is now published! It's better for me as a writer to create something I love then drag on with something I don't.

The Rewritten will
-have similar plot
-same characters
-have smoother transition
-overall better, just saying

It would mean a lot if you would check it out

Love,
Allie

"Crap!" I slapped my palm to my forehead.

"What?"

Devin and I was standing in front of my door after school, I was going to insert my key into the lock when I then realized something.

"My dad changed the locks." With work and everything he probably forgot to leave a key.

"It's fine, we'll go to my house."

We walked across my lawn to his. "I'm worried about him Devin, one day he'll work himself to death."

"I know Jayne, but you know how stubborn your dad is."

"Yeah like when I was younger--I had to make a whole presentation to get a pet fish!"

I fixed up the computer and the projector for the third time before sighing.

"Alright Dad, you can come in." He had let me use his office to present. It was kinda a once in a lifetime thing and I was going to take advantage.

"You set Jayne?" I nodded and extended the metal pointer in my sweaty hands.

Clearing my throat, I began the presentation on why I could take care of a pet fish. At age twelve, I had a deep fascination for aquatic life and had asked for a pet fish. It took me three hours to create the presentation on a large notepad which stood on a canvas. Once I finished explaining, I stood there under my father's eyes. I nervously ran my tongue on my braces, waiting.

"Okay, I will get you a fish tank. You raise the money for your fish, and you take care of them."

I straightened out and smiled and nodded, "Dad, I already have the money for the fish tank and everything! I saved up from my allowance! Thank you! Thank you!"  I ran towards my dad hugging him tightly and he awkwardly hugged back, surprised.

"Those fish died in a week!" Devin laughed as he unlocked his door and we stepped in. Devin's mother was always at work only seeing her son at night and the early morning. She worked hard to provide for him and spent as much time with him as she possibly could. We walked into his room, the walls painted a deep red with his black comforter. His room was decorated of pictures of him and me along with family pictures (Him and his mom), and a lot books, Devin had his white dressers and desk organized and made sure everything in his room was completely spotless and in it's place. There was nothing amazing in it but it was comfortable and warm. I jumped into his bed, his mother washed his blankets with lavender oil making it always smell amazing.

"I've been holding this shit in since last period." Devin walked out to the bathroom down the hall, shutting the door behind him.

I rolled my eyes and stood up and got busy around his room. Devin had his school work laid out in a specific order and placement on his desk, so I fixed that up. Moving on, I switched the pencil cup with the pen cup.  Smirking, I went on a prank high. As soon as I heard the door knob twist I had raced to the  bed and tried to look casual and control my heavy breathing. Devin squinted at me and looked around his room, he furrowed his eyebrows knowing something was off. He walked up to his desk and his eyes widened at his papers.

And it starts... {insert evil laughter}

"What the..." He muttered. Quickly re-arranging them he saw the pencil cup and switched it with the pen cup. "Jayne!" Devin's eyes focused on me. "What did you do?"
