Last School Dance

Authors Note: So i am skipping a bunch of days to keep the story going...it is now PROM!  Sorry if this chapter is super choppy.  It takes place over a few days and can get a bit confusing.  I think that is why it took me so long to update because i didn't really know where  i was going with the story but now it do.  Anyways as you all may know my schedule is crazy and all but i will try to upload more.  I love working on this story it is my passion!  However I want every chapter to be my best so if it takes me a month to get a perfect chappie then it takes me a month.  I just want to say thank you to my brilliant fans who stick with me through late uploads and all!  This chapter is dedicated to all those out there who love this story just as much as I do!

"Alright everybody as you all know this years prom theme is voted upon by the student body and we have our winner!"  announced Casey Hanes, our senior class president.  "The themes voted upon were Famous Couples, Wizard of Oz, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Enchanted Forest, and Hollywood Nights.  And our winner is Enchanted Forest!"

Most of the girls in my class cheered.  They all loved the Enchanted Forest idea, however the boys sulked.  The only one they loved was Raiders of the Lost Ark, go figure.  I personally didn't even vote.

Prom was in two weeks and so many people already had dates.  And well my date is preforming for thousands of screaming girls on Prom night.

The bell rang and everyone filled out of the classroom.  The year was nearly finished and I was so ready for it to end!  In only a few short weeks the boys were going to be preforming at the Target Center!  Literally the event of the summer!

"Hi, Shelby."  said Cierra.  Cierra was in my AP bio class and we were lab partners this second semester.  She was super nice and we have kinda become friends over the past few months.  I especially liked her because she didn't like One Direction.  Yeah, backwards I know but at least it assures me she liked me because of me, not because of the guys.

"Hey."  I replied.

"What's got you so down?"  she asked.

"Not much.  Just the fact that this school has nothing better to think about than Prom."  I told her.

"You love Prom."  she said.

I rolled my eyes.  "I did love Prom."

"You still should.  I mean just a few months ago we were talking about how much fun we were going to have picking out our dresses and stuff.  You are still planning on going, right?"  she asked desperately.

"I don't know.  I don't even have a date."

"That's the beauty of it!  I don't have one either!"  she smiled.

"OMG totally twinning!"  I said in a high-pitched, girly voice.

She laughed.  "Come on we can go to the dance together.  It will be fun!  After all it is our last school dance.  We're seniors this year!  We can't miss Prom!"

"Well, I will think about it.  Besides Prom is in two weeks you might still get asked."  I tell her and head to my bus.  Little did Cierra know Kolton Harris was going to ask her to Prom on Monday.  I know that because I am kinda a part of it.  Kolton asked me and a few other of Cierra's friends to help out.

Thr bus ride home was long and boring.  I was the last one off with only one other kid, a sophomore who lived a few houses down from me.

"Hey, mom!"  I called as I unlocked the back door.
