Grahams POV.
Romar and I walked side by side on our way to the toy aisle. We were both silent but with slight glances and smiles at each other I felt as if we were still communicating. When we finally did get to the toy aisle I swiped a basketball off the shelf and asked, "Do you wanna play?", referring to the ball.
"Are you sure you're in shape for a basketball game?" He asked, pointing to my side where the cut was.
"Yeah! Im fine." I said. Although the cut made a constant dull pain most of the time I couldn't stop the random flares of pain that erupted every few minutes. I masked my pain considerably well and he hadn't noticed thus far. I wasn't going to let my injury stop us from having fun.
"Ok, well...I don't really know how to play."
"That makes two of us." I said smiling. I'm not a sporty person to say the least. With my two left feet its no surprise I never got into sports, but I still enjoyed playful games even if I sucked.
He smiled and agreed to play. Grabbing two tubs to use as baskets he placed them on the ground while I put together a makeshift center court. We pushed the bins that sat in the middle of the isle to the side to open up enough space. We met in the middle and shook hands, initiating the beginning of the game. I gave him a simper smile as he gave me a smirk.
"Prepare for this awesomeness!"I joked, starting to dribble. Even just dribbling simply I somehow failed miserably as the ball hit my foot and bounced off to the side.
He burst out laughing as I chased after the ball, I bent over trying to grab it but I wasn't close enough. When I finally did catch it I was out of breath from the running and he was still chuckling lightly.
"Oh yeah, hur hur hur! Real funny!" I mocked jokingly. "You try!" I passed the ball to him and he caught it and just stared at it. "Well?" I prompted.
He had a look on his face that said 'I hope i'm doing this right' as he started to dribble. He looked awkward at first, as he was still stiff from not knowing what to do. But the more we played the looser he got and started to look almost natural. He started to crouch down a bit, mimicking what all basketball players do, and before I knew it he was beating me 2-5 (My 2 being gained by cheating).
After a few minutes we were both sweating and breathing heavily, for neither of us were in shape or had any muscle mass. We stood in the middle of the 'court' about to start our half time, when I couldn't help myself.
"Are you ready for this? Cause coach said to fake right, and break left watch, out for the pick and keep your eye on defense." I said, talking out the lyrics to the high school musical song.
"You gotta run the give and go and take the ball to the hole, but don't be afraid to shoot the outside J." He chanted out the next verse as we faced each other. I was holding the ball and started to dance around with it, rein-acting a similar dance shown in the movie.
"Just keep yah head in the game
Just keep yah head in the game
And Don't be afraid to shoot the outside J
Just keep yah head in the game" We both sung out harmoniously, jamming out to our acapella performance. We wiggled around in an attempt to dance along to what we could remember of the dance and busted out singing what we could of the song.
"Lets Blah Blah That we something something rebound! and If we something then the crowd will go wild!!!"
After a few minutes more of dancing, and an awesome guitar solo that Romar had added in, we finished off the song with flamboyant poses. Me, with the ball above my head reaching for the ceiling with my legs crouched, And him kneeling with his chest puffed out with his arms up in a check mark.
