I finally finish unwrapping my gifts. Folding the clothes I got, hiding the food, and putting all my cards in a shoe box. I take the large garbage bag full of wrapping paper and take it to the trash can.

I change into shorts and a tanktop. I put my hair up in a pony tail and crawl onto my window seat. I open The Diary of An Oxygen Thief.

"Hey nerd, get dressed we're going to a party." My brother dangles his keys in front of my face.

"But I just want to relax." I whine.

"It's our birthday, and I got a little birdie told me Andres will be there." He sings.

"Still not going." I continue reading.

"Twins?" Dammit that word will be the death of me. I stare at his fist for awhile before sighing.

"Twins."

"Good, now go get dressed." He pats my head then walks out. I sigh and put my book down.

"What to wear? What to wear?" I mumble to myself. I grab my red and black flannel around my waist, with my black crop top that says, "idk, google it" with my black ripped shorts.

"You almost ready?" Gonzalo asks.

"Yeah. Okay, my wheat Tims or black?" I ask holding up each pair. He stares at them for a while before choosing my black ones.

"Okay let's go." He yells and runs out my room.

We pull up to the house and it's dark and quiet. They're gonna scare us I know it. Stupid people.

"Are you sure this is the right house?" I look at him. He smiles knowing that we're thinking the same thing.

We go around back and sneak in. Its dark but we carefully walk around and find people. We wait a few seconds until someone speaks up.

"Are you sure that they're out there?" Someone asks.

"Yeah I heard them." Another one whispers.

"Who are we waiting for?" I whisper.

"You and Gonzalo." He looks at me and answers.

"Oh, when are they getting here?" Gonzalo asks.

"Oh, I don't know." Blondie shrugs.

"There already here stupid." Dante hits Blondie upside his head and walks over to Gonzalo and I.

"Happy birthday." He hugs me and pulls Gonzalo in for one of those bro hugs.

"Well. Let's get this party started!" I yell. Then a loud disoriented yell erupts from the crowd.

"Hey happy birthday." Andres hugs me.

"Thanks." I feel someone grab my arm.

"Hey butthole." Guillermo greets me. He's my favorite cousin.

"What are you doing here?" I yell hugging him.

"Ya boy Danny invited me."

"So I'm waiting." He stares confusingly. "No happy birthday, no presents. Come on."

"Happy birthday." He hands me an envelope from his back pocket.

"Don't tell me it's another letter." I chuckle and he rolls his eyes. I open the package and there's cash in it.

"Thanks. Not that I'm arguing but why?" I ask.

"I heard about what college you want to go to and it's expensive."

"Thank you." I hug him and put the money in my back pocket.

"Now go enjoy your party." He pats my head.

"Can I have the birthday twins report to the DJ table, I repeat, the birthday twins to the birthday table." I look over to Gonzalo and he shrugs. He directs us to a flat screen TV.

"Oh no." I look at him as he first picture comes up. It's of me and Gonzalo in the bathtub. It was like when were where two or three. I'm biting on my rubber duck and he's trying to take it out of my hand.

The next one is a video. Gonzalo in his Superman costume. He's running around the backyard. I think it was when we were seven. "Mom look I'm uperman!" He yells before tripping over his cape.

After a couple more we go to our teen years. It was after the acne stage. So around the end of freshman year. The first video was one I recorded. "I need help turning on the TV!" I cringe at the sound of my voice. "Did someone say he-ow!" He had kicked the door open and it hit my yoga ball then hit him in the face.

Then the worst video ever pops up. It was sophomore year. I think Daniel recorded it. It was me dancing to Thizzle Dance. I turn around and try to block out the sound. Whoops from all around the room means that it's probably around the part where I was twerking.

"Whoa that was some moves our birthday girl has." The DJ yells. "How about you get on the dance floor?" He yells into the mic and everyone agrees with him. Thizzle dance starts to play, and I'm being pushed to the middle. I grab Gonzalo's hand drag him with me.

"What are you doing?" He whispers.

"You we're there when I made this dance if I'm doing it so are you. Twins?" He stick out my fist.

"Fuck you. Twins." The music restarts and we start dancing.

"You know who else learned this dance?" I shrug and he grabs Daniel. I start laughing and try to finish. Key word: try. Daniel was twerking and it was so horrible I couldn't help but laugh.

After the dance I went back to the bar to get a couple drinks. I turn around and look at the scene around me. I lock eyes with Daniel then quickly look away.

He wasn't staring at me maybe he was looking at the wall.

I finally look back to see that he is still staring.

Okay he is definitely looking at me. What do I do? Oh shit he's coming over here. He's probably getting a drink. Nope no he's coming over here. Shit. Act normal.

"Care to dance?" He holds out his hand.

"Nah, I'm pretty sure the girl sending my daggers, would though." He turns around and stares at Vanessa. I smile and wave at her.

"But, I want to dance with to you." He pokes my nose.

"Okay, that, is a no no. Do it again you'll lose a finger." I warn him.

"Then dance with me."

"Will that shut you up?" I whine.

"Maybe." He shrugs.

"Then maybe, just maybe I'll dance with you."

"I'll take that as a yes." He grand my hands and pulls me to he dance floor.

Bailando starts and I laugh. This was he first song that Daniel and I danced to. Well the first one we actually choreographed. We start off slow walking in a circle clearing the space. As soon as the sing speeds up it's like our bodies were glued together.

This dance wasn't like the other times. He added more spins and dips and the moves were more touchy feely not that I was complaining or anything. At the end of it, our breaths were in pants. And he was staring at me more loving than anything I've ever seen. Only the loud applause broke us from the trance.

"I need a drink." I mumble walking away.
