Jen Tovar Leon's POV
I open my door and Calum's jaw drops to the floor.
"I think you're drooling." I cringe, lifting his chin up so he's looking at me.
"You look so freaking beautiful, Jen. How do you do it?"
"It just comes with the body." I chuckle. "And the legs." I wink. (Comment if you remember this from the Starbucks chapter haha)
"Damn, that dress." Calum laughs and I can't help but join in.
"Shut up and walk me to the car." I roll my eyes.
He takes my hand and leads me to the passenger side, opening my door for me and then going around to the drivers side, climbing in.
"Where are we going for dinner again?" I ask curiously.
"That new steakhouse downtown." He answers brightly.
"Ooo I've heard it's really good." I smile.
"So have I, I've heard all good reviews, none bad."

We get to the steakhouse in about 20 minutes.
I'm about to get out of the car but Calum stops me.
"Just wait." He says, getting out and going around, opening my door.
"You are such a dork." I tease, slapping his chest playfully.
"But you love it." He winks, taking my hand in his and walking to the restaurant doors.
"That I do." I laugh.
The hostess walks us back to an isolated booth in the back corner of the restaurant where the least noise is heard.
"Wow it's so peaceful back here." I smile. "Go Calum! How'd you even score a reservation this good?"
"I worked my irresistible charm on the poor woman who answered the phone." He flashes me a bright toothed smile, trying to look innocent.
"We need to find that lady right now and apologise face to face."
The waiter, named Matt, comes up to our table and takes our drink orders, both Pepsi's.
"What are you thinking of getting?" I ask Calum.
"We can either both get a small steak or share a bigger one. The smaller ones are $14.99 each and the bigger is $24.99."
"Okay let's share. It comes with 2 sides. You pick one and I'll pick one." I smile.
I scan the side menu and immediately know what I'm getting when I see the words 'mashed potatoes'. When I look back up to tell Calum, I notice he's staring at me and has been for the past minute.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" I worry.
"Yeah.." He says, "beauty."
"Ugh Calum!" I blush, hiding my face in my hands.
"You're just so damn cute." He smiles, putting his arm around my shoulders and hugging me close to his side.
"Do you know what you want?" I ask, shooting a beaming smile up at him.
"I want a side of fries." He says blankly.
"Well I guess it's a potato kind of night cause I want a side of mashed potatoes."
"Yessss. Now if only that guy would finally get back-"
"Are you guys ready to order?" Matt says, coming up to our table.
Calum orders the steak and I don't really understand anything he says since you have to say the size in ounces and how much you want it cooked such as medium, rare, etc.
"With a side of fries and a side of mashed potatoes." Calum finally finishes.
"Alright coming right up! That should be out in about 20 minutes!"
"Okay, bye." I say.
***
"This steak is so good." I exclaim, my eyes practically rolling back into my head at how good the flavour is.
"It really is." Calum mumbles.
I start on the mashed potatoes.
"Do you mind pepper on them?" I ask Calum.
"No, do you mind salt and pepper on the fries?"
"Nope." I say with a pop in the 'P'.
"Where should we go after this?" I ask him.
I'm still cuddled up against his shoulder because I'm pretty much done eating, and he's just so warm and secure and protective. I love it.
As soon as Calum finishes his last bite of mashed potatoes and steak, we get the check, which Calum ends up paying for the entire meal.
"What the heck, Calum? No, you're not paying for a $30 meal all by yourself."
"Yes I am, Jen. I saved up for this, it's okay. It's worth it for me."
"I hate you so much." I growl, burrowing my face in his shoulder.
"No you don't." He smirks, arrogance dripping in his voice.
We get in the car and are trying to decide where to go.
"We should make this a throwback and go to the park!" Calum exclaims, feeling proud of himself.
"You're so boring, but fine." I try to hide my smile but we all know it didn't work, for I couldn't keep the smile off my face.
