We pulled up outside of the office, and headed towards the door. Billy held the door open, while I entered the building with him following behind me. As soon as I stepped inside I seen Donnie feeding Matt. I smiled at the sight, and pulled out my phone. I clicked a few pictures and sent one to both Billy and Donnie.
"Hey pretty boy, Momma and Daddy are here to get ya." Donnie said, looking down at Matt.
Matt smiled a little, as Donnie rubbed her finger on his cheek. She stood from her seat, and burped Matt, before handing him to me. She then handed Billy Matt's diaper bag, and sat back down.
"Hey kids, do y'all feel like coming over tomorrow evening after work to have a family dinner together?" Donnie asked.
"Sure, but Bonnie's brother and their friends might still be here." Billy told Donnie.
"That's fine, bring them with you if they're still here." Donnie explained.
"Are ya sure? I mean they can be a real handful." I replied.
"It's fine sweetie. I'm pretty sure Billy and Ricky were real handfuls when they were younger, and still are actually." Donnie said laughing.
"Mom, I'm pretty sure we were never that bad." Billy whined a bit.
"Sure you weren't honey, anyway I'll let y'all go, so goodbye kids." Donnie said.
"Bye Mom." Billy said.
"Wave bye bye to Grandma." I said, waving Matt's hand playfully.
"Bye Donnie." I said smiling.
"Bye Billy, Bye Bonnie. Bye buddy." Donnie said, smiling herself.
We walked out of the office, and Billy buckled up Matt, as I tried to pick up all Matt's stuff off the floor boards of the back seat.
"Ya riding home with me, or are ya gonna take your truck?" I asked Billy.
"I'll take mine." He answered.
"Are ya following or stopping somewhere first?" I asked curiously.
"I'm taking my clothes back to my house I guess, then I'll be back over." He replied.
"A'ight, well be careful Billy." I stated.
"I will babe." He answered, kissing me.
He walked over towards his truck, and pulled off. I rode to my house, and made sure to put Matt in his basket, before getting stuff ready for dinner. I decided since Billy, Bryon, and the other four will be here later, that I probably needed to cook a lot of food.
As I was digging in the lower cabinets, I was startled by a voice in the kitchen.
"Nice view." Billy said, chuckling.
"Billy! God ya scared me!" I exclaimed, holding my hand to my chest.
"Sorry babe, but I couldn't help myself." Billy explained.
"Whatever ya say. I still need ta get tha pot though, so will ya kindly not scare me again?" I joked.
"Can't promise. Oh, and I'll go stay with Matt while you cook. Call me if you need any help." Billy stated.
"A'ight, if I'm not done when Bryon or the others get here, then come get me." I replied.
"Alright baby, I'll come if he gets here." Billy said, kissing me before walking out of the room.
I finally finished cooking, and I was placing all the food on the plates which consisted of: cheesy potatoes, chicken parmesan, and creamed corn. As I was fixing plates, I heard the guys walk up into my house. I had just finished the last plate and sat it in it's spot, when Billy walked into the kitchen.
"Baby, Bryon and your friends are here." Billy said, as he wrapped his arm around my waist, and kissed my temple.
"It'll be fine babe, they won't kill ya." I replied, leaning into his body.
"I know baby. We still got to go out there though." He whispered.
I nodded and we walked out to see the boys. Anthony was holding Matt, as we walked into the room. I smiled at the sight, as Bryon looked up at us.
"Uh, food's ready y'all." I said, uncomfortably.
They followed Billy and I into the kitchen, and we sat around the table. This meal was gonna be one of the most awkward ones I've ever been too, and I've been to a few. We ate in silence, and I could feel the tension high in the room. It was so thick, you cut cut through it with a knife. Especially between Billy and Bryon, and this worried me.
Once we finished eating, the boys decided that it was time for Bryon, Billy, and I to talk. I was rather scared, and I had no idea what Bryon could potentially say to Billy and I. Hopefully he's not too bad.
"Are you mad at us?" I asked Bryon, and he shook his head.
"Not exactly. I mean yeah, but only 'cause ya neva told me y'all was together." He replied.
"I'm sorry, we should've, but in my defense I didn't know y'all was comin'." I stated.
"Yeah, I guess ya right." He answered, and Billy looked over at Bryon.
"So, are we all good now?" Billy asked.
"Yeah we all good, but alls I know is, you hurt my sista or make her cry. I'll give you somethin' ta cry 'bout." Bryon warned, and Billy nodded his head.
"A'ight Bryon, we get it. Quit scarin' people." I said, and Bryon smiled.
"Fine. Night y'all." He replied, as he walked out the room.
"I thought he was going to kill us at first." Billy commented.
"Believe me, I did too." I replied.
We soon went to bed, and I was just happy that the day went better than expected. I really thought that Bryon was going to have a fit, and scream and shout. Maybe I thought too hard on that, the world may never know.
