Sometimes New is Better (billy the exterminator) [✔]

Chapter 9

     Today was Matt's first birthday, and I was so happy to be throwing him a party. Bryon, Wish, Flesh, Krayzie, and Layzie all are coming, because they made sure they didn't have a show on this day. Billy and I are working really hard to make this day perfect.

"Babe, I've got the decorations, all we have to do is put them up." Billy said, and I nodded.

"Once we get them up, we can head to the store for the food and other stuff." I replied, and he smiled.

     Billy and I hung up banners and streamers, before putting down table clothes and pictures and stuff. The theme for the party was cars. Matt really loved cars, and it surprised me how happy he would get when we'd watch the movie.

     After we got done putting up the decorations, Billy and I went to get dressed. I threw on a pair of black jeans, a black t shirt with a 67 Chevy impala on it, and a pair of combat boots. Billy wore a pair of black jeans, a black t shirt with a 68 Ford mustang, and a pair of black boots.

     Once we were dressed, I went into Matt's room and picked him up. I put him in a pair of black pants, a black t shirt with Lightning McQueen on it, and a pair of black Jordans. I then picked him back up, and carried him out to the car, as Billy grabbed our phones, keys, and money.

    I put Matt in his carseat, before climbing into the passenger seat. If you'd like to know, Matt can say a couple of words now. He says Dada and Mama now, but we're trying to teach him more. He loves to babble all the time though, so hopefully teaching him more words won't be too hard.

    Once we arrived at the store, I grabbed Matt and the three of us headed inside. We went and bought chips, ice cream, napkins, paper plates, plastic silverware, and then we went and picked up the big cake, and Matt's personal size cake.

     We went to check out, but the line was so long. We literally had to stand in line for over twenty minutes, before we even got close to the front of the line to check out in the first place. There was a nice elderly couple behind us, that kept smiling and cooing at Matt.

"Your son is beautiful." The lady said, and I smiled.

"Thank you. Today's his first birthday, so we're trying to make sure it's perfect." I replied, and she smiled politely.

"Well, you have a wonderful little family, and I believe his birthday will be outstanding." She stated, before we were able to check out.

     Once we paid, the three of us headed back home. I brought Matt inside and sat him in his baby seat, before helping Billy carry in the groceries. As we were putting stuff up, Bryon and the guys showed up. They placed the presents where they go, before sitting in the living room with Matt.

     About twenty minutes later Donnie, Ricky and Bill showed up. Once everyone was at the house, I ordered the pizzas. The pizzas didn't take long to arrive, before we sat down to eat pizza and chips. We talked and had fun, while Matt just enjoyed the attention he was getting from everyone.

      After we ate pizza and chips, we all sat in the living room and watched the Cars movie with Matt. I'm not sure how long the movie actually was, but I always enjoyed the movie, so I wasn't complaining on how long it was.

    After watching Cars, we brought Matt back into the kitchen for cake and ice cream. The cakes were Cars themed, and his personal cake had Lightning McQueen and Towmater on it, and they were actually real toys. The big cake had toys on it too, so after we sang Happy Birthday to Matt, we pulled the toys off, washed them, and then gave them to Matt.

     Matt actually stuck his face into the cake, and it was the most adorable thing I ever seen. He had icing all over his nose, cheeks, and chin. He even had a little bit of icing on his forehead, but he had a lot on his hands and arms. He was covered in the icing, and he didn't even want to eat his ice cream. I ended up putting his back into the container, because there was a chance that he'd probably eat it later that night.

     After he was done with the cake, and every one else was done eating as well, we all headed back into the living room for presents. I had Matt sit on Billy's lap, as I handed him one present at a time, and Billy helped him open it.

    Almost all of his gifts were related to Cars, though some of them were regular Hot Wheels, or some type of clothing or shoes. He even got a few things to do with Angry Birds, as well as Scooby Doo and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

     Bryon and the guys actually bought Matt a swing set and trampoline, but Matt's too small for a trampoline right now. We're still going to put it up anyway, because one day he'll be able to play on it. Bryon bought him a car that he could ride in, that looked just like Lightning McQueen, and even said stuff when you touched certain buttons.

    After about another hour, everyone left and I started to clean up and cook dinner. All we had for dinner was hotdogs and mac and cheese, but it was still dinner. After we ate, I brought Matt to his room and put him down for the night.

     Then I went into Billy and my room, before changing into my pajamas as did Billy. We both laid down in bed together, and I snuggled close to him, as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Today was awesome." Billy said, and I nodded.

"Yeah it was. I can't believe he's already one." I commented, and Billy sighed.

"He's growing up fast, but at least he's not too old yet." Billy replied, and I smiled.

"Now we can try for our second one." I hinted, and Billy smiled down at me.

"Anytime." He replied, and I kissed him.

"I love you." I said, and he squeezed me lightly.

"I love you too." He replied, and I closed my eyes.

    My baby is now one year old, and now Billy and I are going to try for number two. I hope this works out the way we want it to...
