The next day I woke up refreshed. Sure, I wasn't feeling right yesterday, but after last night I feel fine, if you know what I mean. *wink wink* Anyhow, today Billy and I had our work cut out for us. I was a little bummed out about it, but I guess work is work.
I went up to our room, since Billy decided just to bring most of his clothes to my house. Anyhow, I went into our room and picked out my clothes for the day. Then I went and took a quick shower, before fixing my hair into a tight pony tail. Then, I went into our room and threw on my clothes.
After I got dressed, I walked downstairsand Billy and I loaded into his truck. We headed for our first call, which wasn't that far away from my house. It was maybe a few miles if that.
The call was for an ant infestation of some sort. I never really liked ants, they kind of creep me out. You would think that nothing would really bother me since I'm an exterminator, but no that is not true. I hate ants so much, but I also strongly dislike snakes.
All I'm saying is, if there's a snake, Billy will be getting it himself. I think that sounds a little petty, but he knows that I mean no harm. At least, I hope he knows that. Anyhow, soon enough we arrived at the call, and we walked up to the door.
Billy knocked and a young woman opened the door. She smiled at us, and she really looked relieved to see us. I guess her ant problem was pretty bad.
"I'm Billy and that's Bonnie, we're from Vexcon. We heard that you were having an ant infestation problem." Billy said, and the woman nodded.
"Yes, at first it was livable, but now they're all over. I can't even lay down in my own bed without having them crawl on me. All of my food is being destroyed, and it's really starting to become a problem for me and my nephew. He's only three, and I don't want him around these things at all." She replied, and we nodded.
"Okay, we're going to get our stuff, and then we'll see what we're going to do." I stated, and she nodded.
"Alright, come right in when you're ready." She said, before walking away.
Billy and I walked over to the back of his car, before finding the supplies we would need for our job. I wasn't exactly happy to be here, but I don't want her nephew getting ill or disturbed by these insects.
Anyhow, once we got the supplies we needed we headed inside. You could tell there was ants as soon as you walked in, because they were crawling on the walls. As I was walking with Billy towards the kitchen, an ant fell from the ceiling and landed on my shoulder. Billy quickly smacked it, and killed the bug on my arm.
"You could've just knocked it off." I said, and he chuckled.
"One down, and a million to go." Billy replied, and I rolled my eyes.
We set out poison that was safe for both the woman and her nephew. Then we tried to kill all of them we seen with a special spray. We went through every room in the house, before our job was almost finished. We walked outside and sprayed the yard and around the house, then we went to find the lady who called for us to take care of the infestation.
"We have sprayed your yard and house. We put down poison that will not affect your nephew or you. If the problem comes back, please give us a call. We will be back out here every three to six months to spray your yard and set out new poison." Billy stated, and the woman nodded.
"Thank you guys so much. I'm so happy now that my house is safe for me and my nephew." She replied, and I nodded.
"You're welcome, have a good day." I said, and she looked at me with a bright smile.
"You too, guys." She retorted, before walking back inside.
Billy and I loaded the stuff into the back of his truck, before climbing inside of the truck. I shivered for a second, but then shook my head. The crawly ants were still very vivid in my brain, and it was going to be there for a while. This is why I can't stand ants or snakes. They are just so gross and just ugh!
"Hey Bonnie, I've got a question." Billy said, and I looked over at him.
"What's up?" I asked, and he looked at me with an innocent look.
"I know we've only been together for about six months, but I've really had fun. You're an amazing woman, and an amazing mother to Matt. What do you think if we ever had kids of our own?" Billy asked, and I bit my lip.
"Uh, I don't know Billy. It's not really a thing I've ever talked about with people. I think that if we ever have kids, it would be great. Matt is almost seven months old, so it wouldn't be too soon. Though, we should probably wait until he is about a year old, before we start thinking about having our own children." I stated, and he nodded.
"I completely get that, and I respect it. We can wait a few more months. I just didn't want you to get mad when I asked you about it. Most women would probably snap if they weren't ready." He said, and I shrugged.
"I'm ready for more, I just want to give Matt time to get a year in first. I'd never snap for that subject. I'm an understanding person, Billy. I'm always up for talking and listening." I replied, and he smiled.
"I love you, Bonnie." He said, and I mentally squealed.
"I love you too." I replied, as I pecked his cheek.
Maybe kids aren't a bad idea after all...
