Sometimes New is Better (billy the exterminator) [✔]

Chapter 7

    Today we didn't do much. I mean, we are working and all, but in general we have nothing to do. All I know is, that Bryon and the guys are watching Matt today. Of course, I did tell Donnie first, so she would know why we didn't have Matt with us.

    I was bored out of my mind today, even though Billy and I were working. I sat in the truck, twiddling my thumbs. Billy grabbed my hand in his, and kissed my knuckles. I smiled brightly at him, as he sent me a slight smile.

"What's wrong today, baby? You seem so different today." Billy said, and I shrugged.

"I don't know, I just don't feel right today. Maybe I just need to clear my head or something. I don't know what in the world is wrong with me." I replied, and he nodded.

"Do you want to see if Bryon or my Mom can keep Matt overnight?" Billy asked, and I bit my lip.

"If you think that it won't be a problem. I don't wanna be a burden on anyone." I replied, and he quickly shook his head.

"It won't be a burden. They'll completely understand, if you explain to them what is wrong." Billy stated, and I bit my lip.

"A'ight. After we finish the day, I'll call Bryon. If they gotta leave, I'll call Donnie." I said, and Billy nodded.

     We pulled up outside of the house where our last call was, and we walked up to the front door. I knocked on the door, and a lady in her mid fifties answered to door.

"Hi, I'm Bonnie and that's Billy. We're from Vexcon, and we got a call that you had roaches in your house." I stated, and she nodded.

"Yes ma'am, I do. It's really bad for my health, but it's even worse for my husband. He is very sickly, and these roaches are making it worse. Especially when my little grandbabies come around, and they're only around the ages of ten and six." The lady said, and I bit my lip.

"Well, we're going to take care of it as fast as we can." I replied, and she smiled.

"Thank you." She said, and I nodded.

     Billy and I went through her house, and checked to see how bad the infestation was. The thing is though, her husband was using an oxygen tank. This infestation was very bad too.

"How long is this gonna take us, ya think?" I asked Billy, and he shrugged.

"A few hours, but we'll be completely done here when we finish." He replied, as we got our equipment together.

    We then headed inside of the house, and pretty much vacuumed up all of the roaches. We went through every room, as well moving every bit of furniture. We put hypoallergenic poison out, as well as poison that was safe for her grandchildren to be around.

    Anyhow, once we were finished, we put away all of our equipment. We also made sure that we had put all of the furniture and appliances that we moved, were back in their original places.

"We are now finished with your house. If you have any concerns or other problems just give us a call." Billy said, and the lady nodded.

"We put out poison for the chance of future infestations. It is safe for both you and your grandchildren. We will be out here every six months to apply new poison." I stated, and she smiled.

"Great, thank you guys." She said, as we walked out of her house.

      We hopped into the truck, and headed straight to my house. I went and took a quick shower, before we stopped at Billy's for him to do the same. Once we were done, we headed to the office. I sat out in the car, and called Bryon.

B- yeah?

M- y'all leaving today?

B- why?

M- cause if not, I was wonderin' if y'all would like to keep Matt for the night.

B- I'm not sure. We still have problems with the set up.

M- I understand B, I'll let Donnie keep Matt for the night. Don't worry about it, just bring him by the office.

B- okay, I'll bring him by in a minute. Let me just get him ready.

M- okay, love you

B- Love you too.

      I walked inside, and told Billy what was going on. Billy and I told Donnie what was up, so she agreed to keeping Matt for the night. After the small talk, Bryon pulled up with Matt. About as soon as he came, he left as I carried Matt inside. I handed him to Donnie, and she smiled down at him.

"You two try and have a lazy day. I'll take care of Matt, the best that I possibly can." Donnie said, and we thanked her.

     After a few moments, we said our goodbyes and then headed to his house. He picked up some of his clothes, before we headed back to my house. He was going to keep some of his clothes in a drawer at my house, so he wouldn't have to run home so much for clothes.

     Once we were home and comfortable, I decided to just order pizza. Once the pizza got to the house, we decided to watch tv. I put on Dickie Roberts, as we sat on the couch and ate pizza.

     A couple hours later, we decided to just go and lay down in bed. I snuggled into his side, as he wrapped his arms tightly around me. For some reason, I felt a little bit better now. I really wanted to know what caused me to have an off day.

"I hope you are feeling better now." Billy said, and I smiled.

"Much better." I replied, as he leaned down and kissed me.

     I guess all I needed was a few hours off on my own. Well, to be more of a lazy person. After a little bit, I'm pretty sure you know what happened between Billy and I next...

So, most of the next chapters I won't have too many issues to fix. I'll probably be going through to find spelling errors, but please tell me if you find any mistakes.
