You know you're so far gone when your reflection is a stranger
No matter how hard you try the thought of you who you are lingers
In my dreary and rather detached daze

I used to wish upon the stars for anything to bring me back to life
Little did I know my angel was never in the skies
You sauntered over on your toes and looked captivating
I doubt my appreciation for you even needs restating
I have my flaws and I've died inside
But somehow you were the one to bring me back to life
I cast my lot and hoped for the best
When really I prayed and God did the rest
Not everyone finds their other half much less escape this dreary world
But some people have a chance to have our story retold
