Marcus left his room and left to meet Roy like he said. Why did he agree to help him again? Marcus had a test tomorrow in Mr. Clay's class and he was to met Angel in the infirmary. Marcus was the kind of guy who always helped someone when he said he would. After a minute Marcus found Roy waiting right where he had left him earlier that day.

"You showed up." Roy said.

"I keep my word." Marcus said. "So what's this job you need help with?"

"I'll explain when we get there." Roy said heading down the hall. "This way."

Marcus followed Roy, but could tell something was off. This guy wasn't a normal engineer and something else was off. Before Roy said the guards owed him favors but even if they did they would be on patrol but there were none.

"So," Roy said. "Got any family on the planet below?"

"Once," Marcus said. "Why do you ask?"

"Just making conversation." Roy said. "Once you said, did they leave or... move on?"

Red flags were going off in Marcus's head. This guy was up to something. No one had ever really bothered to ever ask Marcus about his family until after he found his Grandfather's secret lab. Could this guy be a spy or something.

"Tic," Marcus said through his mind. "Can you cross this guy's face through your data base and find who he is?"

"Easy." Tic said going to work.

"Well?" Roy asked bring Marcus back out of his mind.

"Oh sorry," Marcus laughed. "I had a Grandfather but he died. Murdered one night when I was young. No killer was ever found."

"I'm sorry," Roy said with a hint of regret in his voice. "Any Ideas who did it?"

"No need to be sorry, and no ideas." Marcus said lying.

"Do you think it was someone he was close to?" Roy asked. "Maybe an Ex, or a close friend?"

This guy was looking for something. It wasn't hard to see he wanted to know if Marcus knew his Grandfather's killer. Who the hell is this guy?

"I doubt it." Marcus said.

"Well what do I know, right?" Roy said.

"Marcus I find out who this guy is." Tic said. "He doesn't work here. He is real Roy as in the General Roy. This guy works with Locks."

Marcus wasn't sure what to do. Does Locks suspect it was him who found his Grandfather's lab. If so this guy was working with him making him an enemy. This also  means he has Intel on the murder. They keep walking until they reached the school's 7th floor power generator.

"So," Marcus said. "What do you really want, General Roy?"

"I see you know who I am." Roy said.

"You must have been sent here by Locks." Marcus said. "Now your going to tell me everything you know."

"Am I?" Roy asked pulling something out of a tool boxes he had been carrying.

Marcus stared at the gun in Roy's hand. Looks like he would need to suit up if he wanted some info. Marcus stared hard at Roy waiting to see who moved first.

"So," Roy said. "What do you know of my good friend Locks?"

"I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you." Marcus smiled. "I know he's the one who killed my Grandfather, and by the looks of it he had help. I take it all you Generals were in on it. I'm going to get every bit of Intel out of you before I kill you."

"Well it wont come to that. "Roy said putting his gun away. "I'm not working with Locks. In fact I wasn't even in the military when they killed your Grandfather."

"Really?" Marcus asked not believing the young General.

"Really," Roy said. "I'm part of a secret order that is made up of people from both the Union and the Confederacy. I've been tasked to keep you as safe as I can and to watch what the Confederate Generals are up to."

"How can I trust you?" Marcus asked.

"I'll tell you everything I know about your Grandfather's murder." Roy said.

"Why was he killed?" Marcus asked.

"He had served his use and was removed like garbage." Roy replied. "They didn't think they needed him anymore sense he had finished the Iron Will Project, but it was sealed away and only you could open it."

"Couldn't you have just forced me to open the door?" Marcus asked Roy.

"We wanted to make you are obedient pawn." Roy said. "After that we would use you to create more weapons like your Grandfather, your smarter then he was at your age. We attempted to open the door once before but it failed."

"What happened?" Marcus asked.

"Well it turns out when you open a door using a hand scanner the body must still be attached."

Marcus stared at his fake left hand in anger. They had stolen his hand to open the door. He hadn't lost it in a car accident it was because they needed his damn hand!

"Who do you work for?" Marcus asked trying to keep his cool.

"All I can say about that is that it's an old friend of your Grandfather." Roy said. "Now do you trust me?"

"Not really," Marcus said standing down. "But I don't believe your working with my Grandfather's killers."

"Good," Roy said. "So then can you answer some questions for me?"

"I guess." Marcus replied.

"Very well," Roy said. "What do you know of your Grandfather's past?"

"Not much," Marcus said. "I know he was a pilot and he was a Scientist for the government before the civil war and then fled to the Confederacy when the war began."

"I see," Roy said. "Perhaps it should be this way. I don't think you could handle the truth, not yet at least."

"What truth?" Marcus asked.

Suddenly there was a noise and Roy froze. Had someone followed them? Roy pulled out his gun and they waited a moment in silence until they felt who ever made that noise was gone.

"We will talk again some other time." Roy said placing something in Marcus's hand. "If anything goes wrong contact me with this. I'll tell you all I can when we meet again. Until then Marcus Kelo."

Before Marcus could say anything Roy ran away. Marcus looked in his hand to see a small black trigger with a red button on the top covered by a plastic case. It was some kind of signal device. Putting it in his pocket Marcus creeped his way back to his room. Things are getting interesting.
