Angel screamed in horror as Marcus' Golem fell down the mountain. She started going after it but was stopped by Leger.
"Let me go!" She yelled. "I have to save him!"
"I know you love him but he's gone!" Leger shouted. "We need to keep fighting so his death means something!"
"I don't care!" Angel screamed. "Let me go!"
"What would Marcus do?" Leger asked. "Would he cry and give up, or cry and fight back. Even with tears in his eyes he would make that bastard pay, now that's what we have to do."
Angel remained silent and didn't move. Leger let her go and turned back to the battle. Tears fell down Angel's face but she turned from Marcus' Golem and went back to the battle field. She was going to make them all pay.
With Locks and Yori dead the Order's fleet moved in on the Creator's Star Ship. They fired on it causing it to become a giant ball of fire. The raining scrap metal and flames engulfed enemy Golems and cut their numbers in half. Now was their chance, but they needed to be quick the moon was coming soon.
As the moon got closer and closer the Creator's forces became weaker and weaker. only it wouldn't matter when the ritual was complete. Not only will he live forever without aging, but he would be a one man army. Able to destroy one million Golems just by snapping his fingers.
Suddenly a shot bounced his Golems armor bring the Creator back to the battle field. His Golems had been spread so thin that he could now be targeted. He aimed his energy beam at the Golem who shot him and blew it into scrap metal.
The Creator looked out over the mountain and saw the moon begin to raise. In a few minutes he would be a God! A creepy laugh escaped his mouth and everyone could hear it.
"Look you foolish creatures!" He yelled to them all over an open channel. "As soon as the light from the moon reaches the top of the mountain I will become a God! Bow to me and I will spare you!"
Many of the Golem pilots stopped and thought about it. If he truly obtained the powers of a God then they have already lost.
"No way in hell," Angel said catching everyone's attention. "You've killed our friends, our families, our...lovers, and you think just because you claim you will be a God we will bow to you? I will never bow!"
"Look at this brave child." The Creator laughed sounding like a dying cat. "May her death be an example to all."
The Creator went to fire off and energy blast, but stopped as he felt his Golem move a little. The sound of taring metal filled his ears. He looked to see the damaged Old Cyclone below him piercing him with his sword. Inside was a blood covered and one armed Marcus.
It was hard for him to see everything sense a head wound he had got was bleeding into his right eye. Everyone stared in shock as Marcus pushed his sword into the Creator's Golem all the way to the swords hilt.
"Sorry I'm late," Marcus laughed. "I kind of fell asleep."
"How are you alive!" The Creator asked.
"The Iron Will project." Marcus replied not caring that everyone in the battle could hear him. "You tasked my Grandfather with making a suit that could with stand almost any attack and he did. It shielded all but my fake arm from your attack."
"I see," The Creator smiled. "So Mark's little clone still lives. Your putting up more of a fight then the old fart. It's to bad you can't kill me. In seconds I will be a God, and this armor is to thick for you to reach me."
"I know that." Marcus said. "That's why I have my Golem's core set to blow."
"W-what?!" The Creator asked in fear.
"You heard me." Marcus smile. "And this close I'd say your done for."
"You would be killing your self!" The Creator yelled. "That makes no sense."
"Well," Marcus said look toward Angel. "When your in love you do things that make no sense."
"No," Angel yelled. "I can't lose you Marcus. Please there has to be another way. You can't die on me again!"
Marcus let his tears flow and then turned to the Creator. He was ready to give it all up. This bastard needs to pay.
"She's right you know." Tic said. "You can't die here."
"What are you going on about?" Marcus asked.
Suddenly Tic covered Marcus in his battle suit, but it then spit him out. Marcus looked to see Tic had taken human form to control the Golem.
"I'll set of the core and make sure The Creator can't escape." Tic said while looking at the struggling Golem of the Creator. "I'm to close for him to use his energy weapon on me. I will not survive the blast from the Golem so this is Good-bye Marcus."
"Tic..." Marcus said sitting on the ground below his Golem.
"I was created to serve and protect you." Tic said. "It's been...a trip."
"Core melt down in 5 seconds." A voice called out from Cyclone.
"See you around kid." Tic said.
Angel swooped in to grab Marcus and took off. Tic watched them leave as two seconds remained. It had been a short life, but a good one. As the Golem went to Zero it's core exploded taking most of the Creator's Golem with it. The war was finally over.
**********************************************
The sun began to rise showing the destruction of battle over Ula. Marcus stared at the pile of scrap metal that had once been his Golem and Tic. He felt terrible that Tic had died for him, but the universe was safe.
"You alright?" Angel asked wrapping her arms around Marcus.
"I'm fine," Marcus told her. "Just a little sad."
"You have a lot of explaining to do" Angel said as she kissed him.
"I know." Marcus said kissing her back.
Their were a bunch of cheers and 'Whoops' from the team making them blush. Leger and Dominic now being a part of the team joined in as they all made smooching noises. They all stopped joking around when someone called out.
"Y-you damn clone!"
Everyone turned to see a frail old man who's bones could be seen through his skin. Half his body was burned beyond repair.
"I am the Great Creator!" He yelled. "How dare you get in my way!"
Marcus approached the man with hate in his eyes. Mark, Mary, Noah, Tic, and so many others lost their lives because of this crazy old man. Not caring about him being old Marcus took his light blade and turned it on. It purple blade shown in front of the man making him fall over. Marcus raised his sword and cut the man down. He then turned to his team who said nothing. Angel walked up to Marcus and hugged him. She lifted his head up and kissed him again bring life back into him.
"Shall we be going?" Marcus asked Leger.
"Yeah," Leger said. "Turns out most Union and Confederate leaders and Generals were all in on this little plan. The new people in charge have signed a peace treat to remake the Galactic Union. We can all go home, the war is over."
