Marcus shot off three rounds from his riffle wounding an enemy Golem enough to were it couldn't fight anymore. A shot blew pass Marcus and hit the man that was beside him. He wasn't apart of his team, but he had been on their side. Now he was dead and for what?

"Marcus!" Leger yelled. "Snap out of it and move up."

Marcus turned his attention to the raging battle up the Mountain. If the Order didn't move soon the Creator would have all the sacrifices he needed.

"Keep moving!" Leger yelled.

Old Cyclone began trudging up the Mountain. The sounds of war surrounded Marcus making him feel trapped.

"Hey Marcus," Tic said. "We have multiple targets moving in on are position."

"What action should I take?" Marcus asked in his mind.

"Throw away the riffle for your pistol," Tic said. "Use your shield and get close to the enemy."

Marcus threw his riffle aside and pulled out his pistol. An energy shield began forming around Marcus' Golems one arm. He moved ahead of his team into the coming fire.

"Marcus!" Angel yelled.

As soon as she yelled his name another memory from his Grandfather flashed in front of him. He too had ran into battle like this and Mary had called out to him. In the flash back Mark got badly injured. That wouldn't happen to him.

The enemies attacks were deflected by Marcus' shield causing them to stop. They went to turn back before he could get up close but it was to late.  Marcus shot at the enemy troops cutting on down. Another threw the butt of his gun at Marcus which Marcus dodged by ducking under it.

Marcus responded to the attack by sweeping out his attackers legs. He then pointed the pistol at the Golem's knee and shot it's leg of. Another enemy Golem tried getting Marcus from behind but Marcus activated his back thrusters causing the other Golem to back off. Marcus quickly turned to the man and shot him down.

Any of the other enemy Golems had run off. All but one that was. The Golem stared at Marcus with a giant sword in hand. Marcus picked up a long riffle used by one of the down Golems and held it like a sword. The circled each other and waited for the other to make the first move.

The Union soldier jumped at Marcus in hopes to take off the boy's head. Instead the sword cut throw the long riffle Marcus was using as a weapon. In response to the attack Marcus used his shield to bat the Golem away.

The enemy Golem was sent a few feet into the air. His sword landed in the ground next to Marcus. Marcus took the sword and held it out. The enemy Golem came back for round two but was unarmed this time. It charged Cyclone but was slower then the older Golem allowing Marcus to move out of the way and cut the Golem in half.

"What the hell-" Leger began yelling but stopped. The Cyclone was faster then the other Golems so Marcus had gotten to the battle first. By the time everyone else showed up the enemy forces were falling back.

"How did you do this?" Leger asked. "You took them all on alone?"

"We need to keep moving, Sir." Marcus said. "The enemy troops went that way."

"Alright team let's move." Leger said moving up. "But no solo run again. You hear me Kelo?"

Marcus heard him but said nothing. He didn't care about orders any more. Soon he would be called on by Noah.

"You broke your promise." Angel said walking beside Marcus in her Golem. "You said you would never rush into battle alone. That's what you told me after the Golem tests at the Academy."

"I don't like it when you engage in battle with the enemy." Marcus said. "I can't risk losing you."

"Alright lovers keep your eyes peeled." Dominic said. "Igor, anything on your sensors for traps?"

"No, sir" Igor replied. "This area is safe."

"Rest here then." Leger called out. "Flare, repair the Golems using you Golem's repairing skills. Calvin stay on your sensors for enemy troops"

"Tell me if any enemies show up." Marcus told Tic in his mind.

"General Locks," Someone called. "The Creator is hours away from Ula."

"Let's begin are plans then." Locks said. "Get me Union General Yori."

The large screen on the bridge flashed and a young browned haired Asian women appeared on the screen. See was Union General Yori and her cold eyes had seen victory on many planets.

"Yori," Locks said. "He is almost here. Let us finish this now."

"Agreed," Yori said. "Let us tell them then."

The screen turned black and Locks smile grew. Soon he would be immortal and would rule a part of the Galaxy as the Creator had promised. He turned to his loyal men who knew of what was about to be done.

"Contact the fleet and the troops." Locks said. "Time to show are selves."

"Incoming transmission from General Locks." Angel called out to everyone.

Everyone watched as Locks' face appeared on all their screens. All Confederacy troops watched as their leader transmitted finally message for them.

"I'm sorry to say this but...your all going to die." Locks said causing a lot of confusion with the ground troops. "Worry not though your lives end they are not for nothing. The Creator will be using you sacrifices to make himself and his followers immortal. Look to the skies my friends."

Everyone, even the Union troops looked to the sky and waited for what the were to see. Suddenly all the ship blew up causing chunks of metal and flame to fall to the planet below crushing people. The only ships that remained were Locks' and Yori's.

"This is good-bye my little pawns." Locks said with a cruel smile. "Your deaths are not for nothing. Oh, and Marcus...you wont be die with everyone else. My master wants you alive, so I have my cannons aimed elsewhere. Until we meet again Marcus."

"You damn coward Locks!" Marcus yelled. "I'll kill you for this!"

Out of nowhere the Creator's ship arrived. The hooded man looked at the destruction below and laughed. Only a few more need to die for him to live forever. However his smile faded when a fleet of ships also arrived. It was the Order and with them the true battle would begin.
