For the whole week, I continued to receive winks and painful glares from Felicia and her crew. They were still leaging up against me but somehow they never insulted me or provoked me. I knew that if I went to that party, something would happen. Something bad, or something where I would feel ashamed.
Saturday was coming closer than ever and I felt even more anxious everytime I thought about it. Friday night, I received a call from Chloe:
"Hey Cass!"
"Hey"
"Are you free tomorrow? I was wondering if you would like to come watch Paranormal Activity 2 with me and then go to my house tomorrow? Cece will be there."
"Oh um..., I hesitated, i'll ask my mum."
"Oh ok thanks...see ya!"
I hung up and put my phone down. I was so confused. Should I go to this party? No i'm insane! Of course I won't! But part of me, part of my curiosity wanted to.
Knowing that my mother would say yes, I hesitated wether I should ask her. I decided to relax and see tomorrow. I watched a movie with my family and went to bed at ten pm.
When morning came, I realised that I hadn't slept much, and all I could think about was the party. I had an awful dream that I had started smoking and that I was friends with Felicia and all the popular ones. Somehow, that gave me a boost. I wanted to go to the party.
I went down to the kitchen and decided to tell my mum about the party.
"Oh, well this is late telling me" she answered.
"Yeah, I - I just got the text now." I repied trying to lie.
"Ok... Well when is it?"
"It's at 14h"
"Oh well I need directions! Hurry up then go get the invitation for me please."
I gave her the invitation and she read quickly the adress.
"Oh yes I know where that is. Okay well tell me when you're ready."
I ran up to my bedroom, and got my bag ready. Makeup? Snacks? What was I to bring?
I decided to bring a party dress I had worn for a wedding two yeard ago and extra clothing.
After lunch, I texted Chloe telling her I couldn't come because no one could bring me and I had too much homework and went off to Felicia's party.
