Chapter Eleven

Isabelle Lee's Point of View

The night is cold and I just finished rehearsing for the recital this coming Sunday.

"Are you going home already?" Daniella (portrayed by Moon Gayoung) asks as she packs her things inside her duffel bag.

"Not yet. My fetchers are caught in a traffic." I reply as I wave my hand goodbye to my other co-dancers. "Why'd you ask?"

"Well, I would like to eat dinner with you. Don't worry it's my t-trea-" I am fixing my things and as soon as Daniella pauses, I immediately face her to check on her for her abrupt quietness.

She appears to be caught off guard with her eyes and mouth wide open as she looks at something behind me which makes me go round to see the cause of her reaction.

"P-Peter? W-what are you doing here?" I question with the same expression Daniella was showing a while ago.

"Your dad told me to pick you up."

What?

Before I could ask why, Daniella moves in front of me, blocking Peter in my view and squeels.

"Great! Peter will treat us dinner!" She says as she embraces us side by side and I know she is making a "move" for Peter.

Nice.

It took us thirty minutes to find a place where we could eat and we ended up at a street restaurant which was suggested by Daniella who wants Peter and I to experience the food where she has a part time job on.

You see, Daniella came from a poor family who runs a farm in order to survive life, but her undying hard work and passion for her dreams to pull her family out of poverty gives her the opportunity to have a scholarship at Yonsei University which will let her reach her dream someday.

"Three of your specialty noodles, Mr. Moon! Make sure it's the best and to add up my salary because I brought with me some precious costumers." She politely yells from our table at the very far end where no one will notice Peter and I.

"Don't talk to me like that, you still work for me!" An old man with a raspy voice yells back which makes Daniella mimic and bring her attention back to us.

The restaurant is full of people who just came from their work and the guy behind me creeps me out because he's drunk which my friend notices.

"Don't worry, that's Mr. Cheng. He's a regular costumer here and he's heartbroken because his girlfriend broke up with him two days ago." She whispers from the other side of the table and then gets up from her chair to greet an arriving costumer.

"Do you know everyone here?" Peter queries as he put on his hoodie to keep his presence hidden from the people around after Daniella greets another bunch of costumers.

"Thanks for coming, Mrs. Jung! Please say hi to Jimin for me!" She hails another costumer before she could answer Peter's question.

"Jimin is her new born baby. Well, if you want an increase in salary and tips to add up your money, you have to." She frivolously responds. "Oh look, our food is here! Thanks Jake (portrayed by Xiumin)!"

Then food with an amazing aroma is set before my eyes that makes my stomach grumble.
