After Jax and I had put the kids to bed that night we went and sat on our bed and Jax said to me
"The guys and I have to go to Nevada for a couple days next week to see Uncle Jury. The Devil's Tribe is patching over SAMCRO. Jury was a close friend of my dad's. He said he wants to meet you and the kids too."
"What are the club members like up there?" I asked.
"Pretty much the same as us," he told me. "Pretty simple people, love bikes and getting together. They won't hurt you or the kids if that's what you're worried about." He knew me too well. I was worried about that but what mother wouldn't be?
"I suppose that'll be ok," I said nodding. "As long as you help me with the kids. Mainly Abel. A four year old boy is hard enough to handle at home. Let alone in a clubhouse full of weapons and stuff." Jax nodded.
"I agree. A few of our guys are going up too and I can get Mom to come with us as well if you want."
"Sounds good." I smiled.
"Good." Jax smiled an kissed me. Then we started packing for Indian Hills.

(One week later)

The day had arrived for us to go to Nevada and we were preparing for the long drive. Gemma was coming to help me with the kids and I was glad she was because already Abel was giving us trouble. He was bouncing around so much that it took myself, Gemma and his favourite toy to get him into the car.
Once we finally got him strapped into his car seat and settled we were able to commence with our journey.

When we arrived at Jury's place Gemma took Abel out of the car while I got Bree. Once I had my baby girl settled I walked over to Jax.
"Everything ok?" He asked me. I sighed.
"Bree has a temperature." He kissed her head.
"She does feel a bit warm." He said concernedly.
"I'm sure it's nothing major. She seems perfectly fine other than the temperature. I'll give her some paracetamol and see how she is after that."
"Ok." He said nodding and giving me a kiss. Then Gemma came over and kissed my head. I handed Bree to her and smiled as I watched her walk away with Abel holding onto one of her belt loops.

After that Jax took my hand and lead me over to an older man who I could only assume was Jury.
"Jackson Teller!" The man exclaimed.
"Uncle Jury!" Jax said in the same tone. They hugged and Jury turned to me.
"And who's this lovely lady?" He asked.
"Uncle Jury, this is my wife Neve." Jury pulled me into a hug.
"Pleasure Darlin." He said.
"It's nice to finally meet you Jury," I said smiling. "Jax has told me a lot about you."
"All bad I bet." He said on a laugh.
"And all true!" Jax joked as we were lead into the Devil's Tribe clubhouse.

That evening we sat around a big table eating, laughing, talking and drinking. Jax was right. This was almost exactly like home. We had a really nice night. Until...

The Patch Over party began to fire up. There were scantily clad girls everywhere and not a single guy from Charming was anywhere to be found. Not Ope or Jax. I couldn't even find Gemma. This was ridiculous. A few of the Indian Hills guys had started getting grabby.

I had Bree and Abel with me so I was finding it hard to defend myself. I started getting panicky and made my way towards the front of the building with Bree in my arms an Abel holding onto one of my belt loops. I was just about to open the door when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and breathed a sigh of relief when I saw  Happy in front of me with Abel on his shoulders.
"You alright?" He asked me. I let out a nervous chuckle as he wrapped an arm around me.
"A lot better now," I said. "Where's Jax and everyone?"
"Talking to Jury in church and Gem took Sack on a food run." I nodded before chuckling and shaking my head.
"And as usual I'm the last to know." Hap chuckled too. After that we went to sit down.

We sat on one of the couches talking and laughing for what seemed like hours before Jax and the rest of the guys finally emerged. Hap was in the middle of telling me a story about Elena when Jax walked over and told him to get lost. Hap handed Bree to me. I looked at him apologetically before he walked away. Jax plopped down on the couch next to me.
"Well," I said. "That was rude." Jax looked over at me angrily.
"What? He had shit to do." I returned his glare.
"I understand that Jax, but you could've at least thanked him."
"For what?" Jax asked. I shook my head.
"Helping me. Hap was the only guy from SAMCRO I could find and I was starting to freak out. The Indian Hills guys were getting grabby with me and I needed help with the kids. Hap helped me. I had no clue where you were. I told you I'd need your help while we were here and so far the only help I've gotten was from Hap and your mom.
You're my husband Jax, and the father of these two beautiful children. You need to help me." He sighed.
"Neve I'm also the VP of this club and I have club shit to handle. As my Ol' Lady you're meant to support and help me too."
"A marriage is a partnership and I've done nothing but help and support you Jax. I came up here for you  where I've spent all my time chasing Abel and being hit on by drunken idiots. Your baby daughter nearly got pulled from my arms before Hap came along. Even your mom disappeared and as usual no one tells me anything. I'm sorry but that hardly seems fair to me."

After that I walked down the hall to the room we were given for the time we were here and put the kids on the bed. I turned on the TV to a kid show before laying down with them. I sighed.
"Are you ok Mommy?" Abel asked me. I smiled over at him.
"Yeah. I'm ok Buddy. Mommy and Daddy just had a little fight. You don't need to worry though we'll sort it out alright?"
"Ok." He said and gave me a kiss before hugging Bree.
"I love you and your sister more than anything, Abel."
"I love you too Mommy." Abel said smiling at me.

(Jax's P.O.V)

I sat on the couch after Neve and I had our fight and realised she was right. I wasn't helping her and I'd flipped out on the only person who was. I sighed. I couldn't keep handing her and our kids off to the club. I had to start taking better care of them or I'd lose them.

I walked over to the bar and sat next to Hap.
"Hey Man." I said. He nodded his greeting.
"Listen," I began. "Sorry I snapped at you before. I was pissed at something Clay said and I took it out on you. I appreciate you looking out for Neve and the kids."
"All good Brother." He said and gave me a short hug before I walked down the hall to mine and Neve's room. I sighed before walking in.

I saw her and the kids asleep on the bed. The TV was playing a kid show of some sort. I turned the TV off and smiled at how peaceful my family looked.

Abel had his head on Neve's stomach and she had her arm around him. Bree was curled up on Neve's chest and Neve had her other arm around our lightly snoring daughter. I chuckled softly.

I didn't want to wake them but I wanted to join them so I took of my cut and my shoes before crawling onto the bed and closing my eyes. Neve stirred and woke up.
"Hey." She said sleepily.
"I'm sorry I haven't helped you more." I said to her. She repositioned Bree and took my hand.
"It's ok." She said. I sighed.
"No it's not."
"We'll make it work," she said. "We always do." I smiled.
"I love you." I told her.
"I know," she chuckled. "I love you too."
"I know." I said mocking her playfully. Then we both went to sleep curled up with our kids. That was when I realised they came first.
