My heart raced as I boarded the ship, I've never been away from Gravity Falls and my family in the past 16 years of my life, that's right I'm only 16 and going on what could be the most dangerously difficult adventure of my life. I've only heard old fishermen tales of the dangers and excitements of the ocean but story's are a lot different from experiencing it yourself.
I walked careful to avoid the large men bringing boxes on the ship as I made my way to the captains quarters.
Knocking on the door it opened and I was greeted with a not so friendly face of who I presumed to be the captain.
"What do ye want." He snapped.
"I was hired to join this expedition." I replied trying to not seem intimidated.
"I don't remember hiring a child." The captain snapped back.
Suddenly a crew member spoke up, "Sir we needed a cabin boy and this lad volunteered."
"Ah a cabin boy, well boy you should know this won't be no picnic."
"I understand sir." I replied.
"Now we set sail once the sunrises tomorrow so I'll have one of these sea dogs show you around and explain what is expected of ye." He then gestured for one of the crew members to come over.
"Alright you show this lad around and explain to him what his responsibilities are as a cabin boy."
"Aye sir." The man relied.

"Well this isn't going to be easy but hopefully it will be worth it...no it will be worth it I know it." I told myself as I laid on the hard bed that was provided for me.
Reaching into my pocket I pulled out a blue and white stripped bandana with a blue tree printed on the front, it was given to me by my twin sister Mabel. She gave it to me earlier today as a goodbye gift her words echoed in my mind as if she'd just said it "To remember us by until you get back."
The boat slowly rocked back a forth as the calm waves rocket it.
Tomorrows going to be a big day.
