'Who would have thought just a few days at sea was all it took for me to be caught up in some weird romance, it almost seemed like those romantic novels Mabel loves to read about princes and princesses...well it would be if their wasn't the fact we where both males.
Anyways Bill offered to take me out on a shopping trip even though I'm still not use to all the crazy stuff that's happened today with him kissing me and now this.'
Poking the foreign object that took the place of my legs as it felt unnatural, yep that's right a tail. Bill found a spell that would give me temporary fins and tails just for a few hours.
"Hey Pinetree~."
'Speak of the devil.'
"Hey Bill." Bill swam up to the side of the bed and sat down next to me.
"So feel any of the side effects I warned you about?" Concern laced his voice as he examined the frills between my fingers.
"Not really, I have a bit of a headache but that's about it."
"Do you still feel up to going shopping today, I mean you can't wear my clothes forever you know." Bill gestured to the yellow and gold laced shirt I borrowed since I'm not use to going around practically naked...
"Yeah I think I'll be okay for shopping, although I may need a bit of help swimming still not really use to this." I flicked my baby blue tail to emphasize the point.
"That's fine with me." Bill got up and offered his hand. Grabbing his hand I was pulled of the bed. Bill lead me out of his room out into the castles corridors until we arrived outside the walls into the vast scenery of the ocean.
"Are you sure no one will suspect anything?" I can't help but admit I was pretty nervous and I'm sure Bill could tell.
"Even if they suspect anything off no one would dare to question my actions." Trying to calm me nerves Bill rubbed my hand in a circle motion with his index finger.
"Aright." We both swam down to the more towny like area full of merpeople.
"Okay here's the deal some of the folks here are sirens who despise humans so it's best if you don't talk to anyone and stay close." I heard Bill whisper to me as his grip on my hand tightened a little.
I nodded looking at a few shady looking figures with swords and knives at their side.
"You can tell a siren from my kind by one, their voice, and two their eyes."
Thanks Bill now my nerves are back.
"Okay."
Finally we stopped passing by the threatening crowd and came to a more upbeat area.
"Well we're here. Anything you like we can get since we're here to get you some clothes." Looking at the small shop that stood in front of us I noticed some clothes through the windowsill.
We both entered the store which was surprisingly empty besides a few workers.
"Let's look around." Bill said as he guided me threw the rows of clothing.
After only a few seconds a shirt caught my eye, it was a dark blue color with a bit of lighter blue, it also seemed to come with a arm band like what Bill wears but silver and not as flashy.
"Hey Bill what about this one?" Bill swam over and examined the item.
"I think it would be nice but don't you want something with a bit more pizazz?" Bill asked doing jazz hands at the word pizazz. Chuckling at this action I looked back to the cloths racks.
"I'm fine this will be perfect. I'm gonna go look around a bit more." Grabbing the outfit I went to go look some more.
"Okay just call if you need anything, I'm going to go look at the gems in the front." Bill said as he swam off to the front of the store.
'What happened to stay close.' Going back I continued looking till I found a few more outfits and then we checked out.
The money down here almost seemed like a joke waiting to happen since Sand dollars actually where their currency.
Once we arrived back to Bills room I couldn't hold it anymore and just had to say it.
"Hey Bill where do you keep all the sand dollars."
"What kind of question is that, in the sand bank of course." Bill replied casually.
"Pfttt-" I lost it, I laughed till my stomach hurt and seeing Bills confused expressing didn't help at all.
"What's so funny Pinetree?"
I was too caught up in laughing I couldn't respond, I know it wasn't that funny but still I couldn't help it.
"Pinetree tell me!" Not to mention Bill was so confused he started to whine about being left out like a little kid.
"Pinetreeeeee-"
"Don't leave me out-"
"WHATS SO FUNNY ABOUT THE SAND BANK?!"
"Pinetreeeee-"
And it went like that for a good 3 minutes till I could speak properly again without going into a state of laughing. Of course I didn't tell him after that fact since its now a bit of an inside joke, plus Bill still give a reaction when I mention "sand bank" and begs for an explanation which I never comply.

If only time could go back to those days...
