He chased her after school,
trying to catch up with her
before she left.
"Faye, please wait!"
he shouted
catching the people
in the parking lot's
attention.
"I noticed you didn't
eat lunch so I was hoping
you'd come with me
to get something to eat,"
he said and he was
still smiling.
"Um... I don't really--"
"Come on Faye! You didn't eat.
We'll just grab something and go."
"Uh... sure."
She didn't know why
she said yes.
She was trying
to
a v o i d
eating as much
as possible.
Maybe it was his
infectious smile
or his
beautiful blue eyes.
Maybe she liked him--
No.
She stopped thinking why
and just followed after him.
