She stayed late at the library today.

She went there to read

when she felt the need to

e s c a p e .

She needed to escape.

From you.

From stupid feelings.

From Helen.

From this world.

This terrible, terrible world.

She needed escape but

was finding it exceptionally hard

knowing you were there.

You,

the cause of her

destruction.

You tricked her.

You blinded her,

making her think it was him,

that it was his fault,

that you were the lesser of two evils.

She felt ashamed

for ever trusting you.

She was finding it hard

to fight her tears then.

Someone tapped her shoulder,

and without hesitation,

she slapped the person.

Maybe it was rage

that drove her to do so,

maybe fear.

She didn't know.

All she knew right then

is that she broke down in tears

and ran away from the library.

She's escaping the world and you.
