Time Skip: At the Young House
"Adam! Are home? Let us in! It's Echo and Derby! Adam! " called Echo as she pounded on the door.
"Thank God you're here! I seem to have had a small accident with an experiment..." he said as he pulled Derby and Echo into the house without greeting.
The first strange thing was how Adam was dressed. He was bundled up in winter clothes despite the fact that it was almost summer. Adam's hair was filled with a fine white powder. And for some reason it was freezing in the Young household.
"What did you do, Little Adam?" asked Derby who taken to using the term as a nickname. For some reason it bothered Echo and she didn't know why.
"Well, you know how I have a crush on that girl at my school? She was always talking about how much she loved the snow and how much she always wished it would stay winter. I was thinking that while I was here I could think of something to make that happen. And, well, it worked only, it worked a little too well. Derby! Don't-Eat-The-Snow!! It's not real snow, and it's deadly! Poisonous, to be exact." Little Adam explained as his hopeless friend was about to cram a handful of the stuff into his mouth.
"You must be kidding me..." muttered Echo as they plodded into the deep in snow up to their knees.
"Believe it. My genius gets in the way of my common sense sometimes." he said guiltily while shaking his head and scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. Echo couldn't help but find the combination of snow, pink cheeks, and sheepish grin attractive. It hurt her that this wasn't her Adam. He didn't belong here with her or anyone else.
"Come on we've got to shut this whatever it is down." she muttered as Little Adam disappeared into his room.
"Just think Echo, when you and Big Adam have kids, you'll be coming home to stuff like this all of the time!" Said Derby with an easy grin and a wink. Echo blushed and went into Adam's room to see what was going on.
"Well as you can see, this snow machine I put together has gone slightly out of control." said little Adam gesturing to a pink box shaking and wobbling on the work desk as it spewed snow.
With a quick glance around the room Echo could tell that when they got Big Adam's memory back he would be missing some of his stuff due to weather damage She would have to apologize for that. And ask him to sing for her. That was nice. "Echo! Echo!!!" Little Adam was waving his hands and snapping his fingers in front of her face.
"So do you think you could help me?" he asked once he finally got her attention. He shot her the puppy dog eyes that everyone knew she couldn't say no to.
"Sure. Anything for you little buddy."she answered reluctantly.
"I bet you have done everything for his little buddy." quipped Derby. Echo quickly shot him her 'you-will-shut-up-or-you'll-die' glare quickly before turning a critical eye to the rampaging Little Bake Oven.
"Explain to me how it makes it snow? I couldn't quite follow you the first time." she asked.
"You see that vent on the side here? I re-rigged it so that it sucks in air molecules instead of blowing them out. The air comes into a chamber here where it moistens and into another chamber here where it solidifies into snow when mixed with these chemicals then they are blown out of these chambers here and here and out of the vacuum pipe."
Adam had various household appliance pieces lying around his room.Echo knew Rachel was going to throw a fit when she got home . First Echo was going to have to fighure out how to stop the deadly snow machine.
