I added parts to the last chapter for those of you who didn't notice! If you need to make sure you look at that and get caught up...Enjoy

"Adam, wake up! It's time for school!" called Echo shaking his shoulder softly.

"But I don't want to! I thought I had finished school already..." he groaned tolling over a little bit.

"Come on guys! Derby! Ivy! Slab! We have to get ready to go!"

Echo dragged Derby by his feet off of the love-seat and onto the floor. Adam stood up sleepily at the same time as Derby and they trudged up the stairs to get dressed. This was common practice for them and both Derby and Echo had drawers of clothes at his place. Derby had practically lived at Adam's place during his parent's divorce.

"Ivy! Slab! Get up! We have to go shopping before going to see the Nutcracker!"  she lied again just to see if it would have the same effect on Slab as it did Ivy. It worked.

"THE NUTCRACKER?! AS IN THE NUTCRACKER???" he asked shooting straight up just as Ivy did the same shouting "Shopping?" Echo tried her hardest to maintain a straight face.

"Yes, as in, if you don't get ready for school I will personally crack your nuts."

The situation with those to being so cute together only made Echo want her Adam back all the more. Even thought to her chagrin she had recently realized that the little girl form Little Adam's past she had been so jealous of was herself.

"Go get ready for school you crazy kids." she told them a bit more kindly than she had originally planned on while extending a hand to help Ivy off of the boyfriend and the couch. Slab took his time rubbing a crick from his neck.

As they headed up the stairs as well Echo heard Ivy ask "Do you need anything? I know where Mom hides Dads old things."

"No thanks. I've got clothes in my locker at school. Do you have any fruit ball juice?" Echo shook her head.

I'm ready, Echo!" yelled Little Adam down the stairs. Soon after came the sound of his feet hitting the stairs as he ran down them. Up until then he had been dressing the way he had used to in jeans and t-shirts. It had helped Echo keep the separation in her mind. This day just got a whole lot harder. she thought. It was enough to make her heart turn over in her chest. She managed to snap out of it just in time to convince Little Adam that nothing was wrong.

He flashed her one of those boyish smiles she had come to adore and she smiled back, wishing with all her heart that it was her boyfriend holding the door and taking her hand.

"Let's go on ahead. They'll probably be a while." said Adam. Based off of the pink tint to his cheeks she could only guess at what was going on upstairs.

"Sounds good to me. You'll want to get settled in before the other students come in, right?" she asked.

"Yeah." Adam said rather forlornly. The pair walked hand in hand to Adam's classroom ignoring the stares from the other students. Adam didn't notice but Echo blushed bright pink. " Here you are go right on in. Just write your name on the board and we should be good to go." she told him as she put her stuff down at her usual spot and pointed to where on the board he should write his name.

"Cursive or print? Should I put my first name? Should I put my first name? Should I have them refer to me as Mr.? I look the same age as them so maybe the should call me Adam..." he trailed off looking even more nervous than before.

"Mr. Young... it sounds good to me!" said Principal Tater from the doorway.

"Good morning, Adam, and welcome to the staff. I've heard many good things about you from young Ms. Zizzleswift , here. I am the principal of this fine establishment, Mr. Tater. If you find yourself needing anything, feel free to come find us." he said very obviously reading the lines off of the inside of his forearm. Once he ran out of lines he just turned around and left leaving Adam cracking up.
