I AM ON A FREAKIN ROLL HERE PEOPLE
"COMING!" yelled Ivy back. "Let's go Echo! We need to show all this off." she grabbed Echo's hand and pulled her down the stairs, nearly tripping her up. Ivy let go of her arm and jumped down the steps, allowing Echo to make her own entrance.
Echo took shy and slow steps down, not wanting to fall. Her hair was braided and tucked up to the point that only half of her hair was showing. It made her natural golden highlights shine. The hairstyle was offset by a perfectly matching pewter and rhinestone barrette set to hold the braid in place and hide the stray ends. She wore a pink tummy blazer. Around the bottom of the jacket was a lighter shade of pink lace designed to look like flowers. Under the jacket was a white blouse printed with black roses. It was modest enough to leave something to the imagination nut, revealing enough to keep you imagining. With it she was wearing a matching black ruffled skirt that came down to about an inch above her knees.
"Whoa." was all Adam could say out loud for the moment though he did appear to mutter something under his breath. He cleared his throat and held out his hand. "Milady?" he asked. She put her hand in his with a lighthearted grin. Adam picked her up and swung her around. "Hey, sexy lady." he whispered in her ear though he didn't generally like to call women anything besides pretty or beautiful or gorgeous. to him women weren't to be objectified. He had seen that too often. He pressed his lips against her softly and quickly before setting her down.
"Dang, Bro got game! I see what ya mean now hun." Ivy whistled. Echo blushed but Adam only had eyes for his girlfriend. "You, love, meu incindio (my little fire for those who don't speak Romanian), are beautiful. No other words will do. Beautiful. Now, let's get your beautiful butts to school." Ivy piled them all into her little car. "No funny business!" Ivy called over her shoulder.
"No promises." Adam said back. He took Echo's hand and stroked the back of it softly with his thumb. Echo sighed contentedly. If she could she would spend the rest of her life like this.

"Dang! What are you two doing here all dressed up!?" asked Derby when they arrived to class.
"You called?" asked Dang the school janitor, appearing as if by magic in the middle of the small cluster of people. Oddly enough this was a completely normal occurrence at Finnegan High School. "Aaaaahhhhh!" they all screamed, startled by his sudden appearance. No matter how many times it happened they never got used to it. "What is you doing all dresseded up with no fancy hat?" Dang asked truly looking confused, his accent thick in his voice.
"There! Now have fun on date! Derby, why you no date?"
Derby had to laugh. "Me? A date? Ha! I'm too cool and suave for any of these ladies!"
Echo cut him off before he could say anything else. "He couldn't get one."
Dang looked thoughtful. "Brother Ding's wife has four daughters. I will find the Derby a date amongst them." and with that Dang disappeared.
"Yes! I get a hot Asian date!" Derby crowed.
"Knowing you, she's hideous and you will end up accidentally married. I wonder why I haven't seen her around school?" said Ivy with a small laugh. "By the way you look nice, Jordan. I've gotta go but can the five of us meet up in the courtyard?"" she added, calling Slab by his first name.
Adam taught and Ivy learned about the War of 1812 and soon enough school was over. Schooldays always seemed to go by fast at Finnegan High. Nobody besides Dang seemed to notice the special looks that Echo and Mr. Young kept sending one anothers way.
