Chapter 6 ~ Brisworth Academy

Today was my first day in school. Tuesday morning. School here started at 9:10 so I had a little more sleep than I would usually. This was something I needed.

Ryder showed me around town a little more this weekend. I'm actually supposed to meet up with him later today.

I wore my new school uniform and my natural make-up. I took a shower last night and plaited my hair, so now I took it out leaving it nice and curly. I remember Nath taught me how to plait my hair when we were young, yes Nath knew how to plait hair before me. God I miss him. I really hope I can meet him again soon. Also the rest of my friends, I really do wander what Scarlet, Hazel, Asher and Carter would do if they saw me again.

Letting go of these thoughts I walked out the house, making sure I locked it, and walked to school. It was quite a long walk but I made it there without getting lost.

At Brisworth Academy, I walked in the halls full of students and teachers. I walked up to the student council office, and knocked on the door. "Come in." A girls voice answered.

I turned the rounded handle and walked in closing the door behind me. Inside sat three students two girls and one boy. One of the girls had dark red hair with light green eyes. She looked up at me with the brightest smile and spoke, "hello, I'm guessing your new here? Anyway, I'm Kerris," she stood up walking up to me, still smiling brightly. "What's your name?"

"Luna," I smiled, slightly confused.

"Right in guessing you're here for your time table?" The boy spoke. He had Raven hair, reminding me of Nath. He smiled and then turned around to the other girl.

"R-right." I replied. The other girl stood up, her hair was long and a beautiful, natural, light blonde, styled in a waterfall Braid.

She looked around on a shelf for something and finally grabbed a purple folder. She handed me the folder, also smiling kindly and saying, "here this is yours. It contains your time table and map and other things you'll need." I reached the folder.

"Thank you." I smiled back at them. They're all so kind, I really did imagine something different from them.

"By the way, I'm Blair and this is Blake." She smiled, "hey I can show you around school if you want, my next class is with you anyway." She smiled again.

I smiled back at her and nodded. "That'd be helpful thank you."

We left the student council room together. She had a big white back back with a baby blue design on it. Inside she must have had books and other things that were needed for today's lessons. Since in England we don't have lockers, we have to carry everything around with us for 6 hours for 5 days. Ugh.. I mentally face palmed myself for the effort.

Blair turned to me and smiled once again, "so, do you know anyone around here?" She asked. Just when I was gonna answer her someone bumped into me causing me to drop my folder and making several papers I had onto fall all over the floor.

"Sorry! I wasn't paying attention to where I was going!" I fell on my knees and started picking up my stuff, that's when I realised he was already picking them up for me.

"No, it's alright. It was my fault anyw-" he looked up at me when he did he stopped mid sentence. "Luna?!" He exclaimed.

I looked at him and recognised his dirty blonde hair, and find jaw line. Ryder. "Oh.. I didn't realise you go to Brisworth Academy.." I looked embarrassed but also glad, at least now I know someone.

Ryder handed me the rest of my papers that flew out. He smiled, "hey, I've got to get to class but do you mind meeting at break?"

"Sure?" I was about to ask where, but Blair realised what happened and grabbed my arm shouting that we're gonna be late to class. Great. Now I didn't know where to find him. This is just perfect.

When the bell for break strolled around, I knew I was gonna get lost. I had no clue as to where to find Ryder in this massive school. Heck I got lost twice already!

I walked past Blake, that reminds me, maybe he could help? "H-hey! Blake!" I shouted, uncomfortable about the fact I grabbed people's attention. Blake turned around, when he noticed it was me he smiled.

"Hey, Luna. Lost again?" He chuckled finding it hilarious about how many times I could get lost in the amount of hours.

"Not yet, I was wondering if you knew where Ryder would be?" I asked curious. I noticed Blake's eyes lit up a bit and then he bursts out laughing.

"Hahaha! Well duh! Everyone knows where he is. In fact we're all apart of his 'squad'!" He stated, as if it was the most obvious thing on earth.

"Ohh.." I laughed, unsure of what to say or do now. Clear embarrassment was written all over my face.

"Well, anyway. I'm going over to him now. Follow me." He grabbed my right arm gently and pulled me behind him.

Blake led me to the end of the football field, where there were tables for people to eat and sit on. On one of the bigger tables, sat Ryder, Blair, Kerris and a few other people sat. "Come on, you already know some of us!" Blake laughed and pushed me in the seat right next to Ryder.
