Chapter 9 ~ 16th birthday.

Tomorrow is my 16th Birthday. My sweet sixteen party, is being booked today. I've been waiting forever!

It's been 2 years since I've moved. I kept great contact with everyone in Coventry, true we don't speak often anymore but we're still friends. I've actually invited them all to stay here for the weekend for my birthday.

So, many things have happened. Ryder asked me out, we've been dating a few moths now. Braelynn and I became the bestest of friends, if bestest is even a word! I've found out so many great things about Bournemouth. I was actually starting to feel like I found a point to live again.

The point to live that I lost after a few months of starting secondary school in Coventry. Now I feel like I got a new one. One I should never give up and waste or even take advantage of. It's like God is giving me a second chance in life.

I can't wait, tomorrow is gonna be the best day starting from 17:00 pm and to the next morning! I turned off all the lights in my room and jumped into my bed. Once again checking my phone and social media's before going to sleep.

The smell of pancakes and waffles spread through the entire house and slowly made its way to my nose. My mouth started watering and then-

*beep, beep, beep, beep*

The fire alarm went off. Waking me up and making me sit up straight in bed panting. Well that's a great way to wake up on your birthday, I thought sarcastically. Knowing my mum forgot to open the windows the steam must have set the alarm off, and turn itself off seconds later. Mmm, mums made pancakes and waffles. I swear she makes the best in the world! The scent was still around me. I laid back down in bed and grabbed my phone only to notice over 30 messages from all my friends and many other people saying Happy Birthday.

I unlocked my phone and replied 'thanks' to everyone. Then I went on my Facebook and Instagram to see people putting pictures and status about me shouting me out and saying Happy birthday. I comment 'thank you' on all of them and liked them all. Then I grabbed my phone and walked down stairs to get some of the lovely breakfast.

Once down stairs I noticed several plates already set out with food on top. I grabbed an empty one and started stacking my pancakes and waffles and filling them in with chocolate and fruits.

After breakfast me and my parents went out to set out the party on the beach. We had a little gazebo where we would be eating and of course a little tent were the tables and music was.

We would be dancing and messing around in the open space around. My dad also brought a new BBQ grill for this party and set it up behind the gazebo so that we won't all smell like fire and smoke later. It was now only 2 hours away before people should start arriving. So I ran home to get changed into my swimming costume and a black and red skater dress, I also put some make up on and curled my hair. Then I headed back down to the beach.

When there I saw a few people were a bit early probably to help set up the lights and smoke machines. I saw Nath and immediately broke into a run and jumped on to him. Wrapping my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. Nuzzling my face into his neck, taking in his scent. God I missed him.

"You came!" I mumbled making him shiver a bit, from my breath hitting his neck.

He returned the hug and spun me around laughing a bit. "Of course, I wouldn't miss your 16th!" I hugged him tighter and whispered to myself.

"I missed you." I guess he heard as he stiffened but hugged me tighter.

After several minutes I got down off him and we untangled our selves from each other. That's when Ryder approached us throwing his arm over my shoulders and passing me some juice. He then leaned down and kissed me on the cheek whispering, "Happy birthday, Princess." Into my ear.

Nathaniel looked quite uncomfortable about Ryder's actions. I could tell. He smiled at him though and introduced himself, "I'm Nathaniel, Nath for short."

"Ryder." He replied shaking Nath's hand. He turned his gaze back at me and told me he had a surprise for me. Then he pulled me away. I felt bad for leaving Nath all alone, just standing there.

Ryder pulled into the gazebo with food and presents for me. Then he pulled out a small box and passed it to me. "Go ahead and open it!" He smiled.

I did as he said and inside was a beautiful necklace with diamond filled angle wings. "R-Ryder, y-you didn't have to.." I replied. I loved it but it must have cost quite a bit.

"Don't mention it." He smiled and hugged me. "Do you want me to put it on?" He asked. I thought for a moment, I was already wearing the necklace than Nath got me on my last day at the festival, but I just nodded anyway.

Ryder took the necklace and moved my hair to the side. The quick and gentle brush of his finger tips on my neck gave me goosebumps. It wasn't a bad feeling though. He then clipped the necklace around my neck. I threw my curled hair around my shoulder and back like it was. Now I had two necklaces on, which is a bit weird..

"Thank you." I smiled and kissed him. He kissed me back and we both melted into the kiss a bit longer than we should have. I didn't realise someone was watching me though..
