There was once a girl named Valerie Reeds. You see as the title here says, "The Smart Girl", that's who Valerie is. She's very intelligent, but she's not the nerdy type that knows everything. She just knows things and gets straight A's in every class because she pays attention and studies. There's only one flaw about being one of the smartest students in your grade. Everyone expects her to accomplish great goals and know everything, but she can't do all that. After all, she's just a simple girl.
Then there was this boy known as Chance Martins. He happened to be the quarterback of the football team, and the most popular guy in their grade. Of course like almost every jock, he had a girlfriend. A bitchy, slutty girlfriend at that. They were typically known as the "power couple", which drove everyone insane. Chance always had a thing for teasing others, especially Valerie. I hope you know how that goes.
How will these two totally different people accept one another? Can they overcome their differences and become friends? I couldn't see that happening, but could you? Well, let's see what happens, shall we?
