"I love you baby!" Chance Martins shouted to his slutty girlfriend, Baleigh. Valerie almost literally threw up in her mouth as she heard those words.
"I love you too babe!" Baleigh Hills fake smiled, blowing an air kiss towards him so he could catch it. Like the lovesick idiot he is, he "caught" it.
One thing that Valerie and her friends hated to hear was the lovesick relationship callings of Baleigh and Chance. Or what their couple name is: Chaleigh. Such a stupid couple name, Valerie thought, I thought couple names were suppose to be cute... obviously not for Chance and Barbie.
"Why do we always have to hear their lovesick talks?" Mary asked, groaning. "It's just weird."
"I guess cause they want the whole entire school to know that they are still in love," Valerie suggested.
Mary scoffed. "Like anyone would want to hear about that."
Valerie chuckled, grabbing her Geometry book. "How come we have to have our last class with Chance?"
"Cause the teachers thought it would be funny if we suffered with him, while Christina suffered with Baleigh."
The two best friends laughed at the joke, then began their walk off to Geometry class. That was the class that supposedly had all the smart kids in there, but so far, Valerie hasn't seen any smart kids.
They walked into their boring math classroom, seeing only a couple of teens besides them. Kirkland Maulding (A.K.A: Mary's future husband), Porsha Downs, Grace Burns, Dylan Frenick, and surprisingly Chance Martins. He was never there early, so it was surprising.
"Well look what the cat dragged in," Chance smirked, setting his football helmet on the small square table behind him by the supply cabinets.
"Shut up Chance," Valerie snapped. "I'm surprised to see you here so early. I though the word early wasn't in your vocabulary."
Chance glared at Valerie as she and Mary sat down in their assigned seats at one of the grouped tables. "It's not. Have you told your mommy that you don't hang out with us anymore?"
Valerie hesitated. Knowing Chance since they were in diapers, she knows what not to do. Chance Brennin Martins was a total mama's boy, and would tell his mom that Valerie Reeds doesn't hang out with him. That would result in Mrs. Martins telling Valerie's mom, and then Valerie would get grounded. "No. I haven't told my mom about the fact that I would never hang out with you and your kind ever again."
"Oh come on, babe!" Chance smirked, using Valerie's most hated nickname he gave her. "You know you want to hang out with me and the boys again. You can even bring Mary if you want."
Mary and Valerie burst into laughter. Like they would want to ever hang out with those snobs! Kirkland walked over to the seat next to Mary, making Mary blush. Valerie smirked at the scene. She knew that Kirkland and Mary would make the cutest couple ever. She could just see the couple name for them: Maryland. Valerie chuckled to herself at the thought of the couple name that happened to be a state.
"So, Val," Chance grinned at her, sitting down next to her on the other side. "Did you do your Geometry homework last night?"
"Well yeah," Valerie replied in a "duh" tone. "You know I always do my homework. The real question is, did you do your homework?"
"Well yeah!" He mocked in the same tone as her, trying to aggravate her. "You know I always do my homework!"
Valerie crossed her arms over her chest, turning her head to the right to avoid his gaze. "Shut up Martins!"
Chance smirked as Valerie's face turned red with anger. She absolutely hated when someone mocked or teased her, especially when it was Chance. He knew the things that would irritate her to no end, and used them. "Oh come on, babe. You know you can't avoid this pretty boy face."
Valerie scoffed. "Yeah right! I don't see any boy around with a pretty boy face, let alone you!"
Everyone rolled their eyes at the argument that went on between Chance and Valerie. Well, Mary and Kirkland were too busy flirting to notice their friends daily argument.
"How come it's always you two that argue all the time in this class?" The Geometry teacher, Mrs. Boeman, asked.
Valerie stuck her tongue out at Chance, and was the first of the two to speak up. "Because he always starts it! He comes up with some comment that makes me mad, so I have to say something back!"
"No! Don't put the blame on me, sweetheart," Chance smirked. "You're the one that decides to give me this hateful look, so I'm going to say something about it to make you shut up."
Mrs. Boeman shook her head, a sly smile on her face. "You two should stop flirting in class. Why can't you two be like Kirkland and Mary?"
"What?!" Valerie and Chance exclaimed in unison. "They were the ones flirting!"
Kirkland and Mary were laughing secretly to themselves. Geometry was the funniest class they had, and they were glad they had it this period. Chance and Valerie's eyes widened when they finally realized that Mrs. Boeman said that they were flirting.
"I was not flirting with Valerie!" Chance shouted, a serious frown on his face. "I'm dating Baleigh Hills, not that!"
"Gee, thanks Chance..." Valerie said aloud, sarcasm dripping from every word. "You are absolutely the best person ever."
Chance chuckled. "Well it's true! I am very faithful and loyal to Baleigh, so why would I stoop so low to flirting with another girl?"
Everyone, even Mrs. Boeman, rolled their eyes at that obvious lie. It was true, Chance was hopelessly in love with Baleigh, but they were both huge players. They didn't even care that much about cheating on each other.
"Okay, then. Just stop flirting with Valerie. It's kind of...noticeable," The teacher chuckled, starting the new Geometry lesson about new shapes and how to find the perimeter and area.
