HAERA'S POV;
"can you please explain to me why i'm here?" i asked vernon, looking up at him. we were simply standing in the entrance of walmart, doing nothing.
"we're waiting," he answered without turning to look at me. his eyes were fixated on the cars passing by. he seemed to be searching for a specific one.
i sighed. what could we possibly be waiting for?
"also, why walmart of all places?" i inquired.
"you wouldn't expect a famous idol to be at walmart, do you?"
i nodded. "you're right."
after a few moments of silence between the two of us, he gasped. "they're here!" he cheered as a black van parked in front of us.
the driver's window lowered to reveal s.coups. "sorry we're late. come in!" he pressed the button to unlock the doors.
despite my state of confusion, i hopped in the car anyways after vernon opened the door. all around me were familiar faces: the other seventeen members.
as i entered, i whispered to vernon, "where are we going?"
"same fair i went to with my cousin," he whispered back, winking. "this time it's with my best friends. that includes you, by the way."
i sat in an empty seat in the van and waited for vernon to enter and close the door. once he did so, i smiled at the others. they knew me as vernon's cousin, but i wasn't that anymore. i thought it was time to reintroduce myself.
"hi, guys! i'm vernon's friend, haera."
