Where she shoots Chase...

I pick the knife up and swing it in the air a few times.

"Do you like it?" Professor Kaden asks.

"Like it?" I say looking at the silver knife. "I love it"

"I thought you would" He looks at me.

"Am I allowed to go in?" I ask, my eyes rising from the knife and into his glasses.

"Yeah, go in" I nod and walk into the room. The wolf looks at me and then to the knife and then back to me.

"I'm not going to say anything" She says weakly. "Not anything. So go ahead and torture me all you want"

"It's funny" I say as I walk closer to her. "That's exactly what your mate said, right before I sliced her throat" She clenches her jaw and I see her eyes go black.

"I'm going to fucking kill you" She growls.

"That's also what she said" I laugh. "Mates are so alike"

I push my hair back revealing the tattoos that went from my neck down my back and on my shoulders. I point at one of them.

"This was your mate" She growls at me and I lift the knife and slash her hand. She groans in pain as the blood spills down to the floor.

"Tell me where your pack is" I say.

"No" She snaps immediately. I sigh.

"You'd be happy to know your mate went down crying and screaming in agony. Begging me to stop and you know what I promised her?" I ask. Her gaze intensifies.

"I told her she'd reunite with her mate soon enough"

She says something quietly.

"What?" I ask.

"You have a mate, I can smell it"

A chill goes down my back as I'm reminded of Chase.

Chase with the green eyes. My mate Chase who had an amazing laugh.

My Chase who I shot and killed.

"I killed him" I tell her. She looks at me horrified and shakes her head.

"Your a monster" She says. I lift the knife again and smile.

"I know"
