I hadn't seen him again.

Well not until the day that The Alpha , Leo, had dragged me out of the cell. I had faced so many horrid things. Done even worse. I had been scared so many times. But this time, this time, I was truly scared.

I didn't want to die.

So as Leo had his fingers on my back, I was seriously reconsidering the whole Hunters Code. I mean, how do they expect me to die over some stupid code. How did my ancestors do this? How could anyone die for this?

"I'm going to ask you one last time" Leo says. "Where is she?"

I had given them the impression that I knew more than I actually did. I think they thought that I knew exactly where she was. But I didn't. I don't know what happened after Joseph gave her to the school. But she isn't there.

So I know one place she wasn't. And I know the name of the pack and Alpha who had traded The Luna for some wolves.

"You'll kill me if I tell you" I say. "And I'd rather die knowing that The Luna will never be found"

It takes me until my head hits the ground to realize he had hit me. And man, did it sting like a bitch.

I laugh as I spit blood on the floor.

"Kill me" I laugh. I raise my eyebrows when I see his eyes go black. I'm not gonna lie, it was scary looking into the bottomless pits of black that were his eyes.

"I'm going to" He places his fingers on my neck. I slowly close my eyes. Do it quick. I'll be haunting Joseph until he goes mad. I grin when I imagine that.

He takes his hands off my neck and I open my eyes. His hands still raised. He brings them down. I snap my eyes.

I hear people gasp all around me as I no longer feel Leo's cloud of intimidation on me. I open my eyes and see the guy with the green eyes, which were now black, pining Leo down. I stand up. I have a sudden urge to go and hug him, to push his hair out of his eyes and kiss him.

Then I feel absolutely disgusted with myself for even thinking of a wolf in such an affectionate way.

"Who the hell are you!" I scream at him. He looks at me. He stands up and walks over to me. Leo, everyone, vanished. Or at least that's what it felt like. He grabbed me and I gasp when his strong arms wrap themselves around me. I immediately relax into them.

His nose buries itself in my hair. It's then I hear the word I never guessed I'd hear. A word that made his, and my, strange behavior finally make sense. A word that turned everything on it's side. He growled softy into my ear.

"Mate"
