Bree's P.O.V

"You little!" she screeched as Ian stepped between us blocking my view of her.

I popped my head out from behind him so I could stare at her but he stretched his hand out obscuring my view slightly. The action caused Talia so scowled deeper.

"So now you're her bodyguard?" she demanded.

"Try boyfriend b*tch!" I gloated enjoying the way how her face darkened. "And don't even act like you were about to do something because everyone knows your pansy ass can't fight."

"I have people to do that for me," she scoffed flicking her hair.

I really hated how people were so expendable to her. The way she used people for her own benefit or entertainment bothered me. When  I'd first met Ian I had thrown her using him in his face to hurt him but now I looked back on it I really regretted it. Somehow it made me feel dirty like i had sunken to her level.

"You're such a snob!" I spat clucking my tongue.

"You know you should really get over the fact that I slept with your boyfriend," she said loudly. "Oh wait, I slept with this one too. My bad," he grinned smugly.

I ground my teeth together. She really did piss me of for no reason. Why did she always have to poke the sleeping lion? Did she have a death wish? I mean she wasn't too smart but still.

"First of all!" I corrected. "That was before either of them were with me so don't act like you stole either one from me because clearly they both decided to date up. Oh wait," I exclaimed with fake enthusiasm. "Neither of them ever dated you right?" I asked scandalously and smirked when I saw the hurt in her eyes. "Guess you're only worth one ride," I shrugged.

Her eyes narrowed into suits S she glared at me and I glared back. She played with fire so she had better be prepared for the burn.

"So what if Luka dated you?" she growled cruelly. "Do you think that made you special. He just strung you along like some little puppy and when he got what he want he threw you away!"

Well that hurt like a b*tch!

"At least I wasn't just a right of passage!" I shouted as the tears stung my eyes. "He didn't even respect you enough to let you share that moment alone!" I snapped. "You had to share it with him and your best friend and whoever else was watching. How low is that?" I asked scornfully.

She stared at me coldly before she turned her attention to the now frozen Ian. A wicked smirk crossed he face.

"You're clearly still not over him," she mused.

I almost laughed. Did she really think she was cunning? Because she so wasn't. I instantly realized what she was trying to do and made a calculating move of my own. I wrapped my arms around Ian's waist and poked my head out from under his arm.

"No Talia, you're the one who clearly isn't over him," I told her cheerfully. "I don't waste my time chasing the past when I have a bright future," I finish giving Ian a small squeeze.

He grinned down at me and my heart felt heavy. If only all the bullshit I had just spewed was true. I certainly wasn't over Luka and Ian was probably not going to be a part of my bright future. However I'd be damned if I let her hurt him again when I knew he didn't deserve it. He deserved better and I wasn't about to let the cheap tramp in front of us make him think that didn't.

"Whatever," she snared. "I already had a taste of that," she gestured towards Ian. "It wasn't that great!" She giggled.

"I wouldn't expect an unskilled chef to produce a superb soufflé," I grunted. "He wasn't that great because you were a lousy teacher."
