Ian's P.O.V
Bree! Bree! Bree! Bree! Bree! Bree! Bree!
Her name echoed throw my mind like a pray. I seriously couldn't get her out of my mind. I was in love with her. I could finally admit it to myself which also brought about the revelation that I couldn't have her. Why the hell was life always so frekking complicated? Why did it always have to throw me a curve ball? Why couldn't I be happy for once. I lost my mom, Talia turned out to be an evil b*tch and now the only good thing in my life was going to be gone again. I'd like to know the jackass that came up with 'if you love them you'd set them free' because I was going to find him and punch him in the face.
I told myself I wasn't going to tell her; that I wasn't going to hold her back. I mean what other option did I have? Give up on my dreams and chase after her? That was too cliché even for me and it wasn't like someone like me could get in to Yale with my grades. I mean I managed to keep my GPA above 3.0 but that was as good as it got with me. So what other choice could I have?
I sighed and turned off the hot water. The others were in a frenzy about going out to celebrate tonight's win but all I could do was think about Bree. The moment I was in the parking lot my eyes automatically scanned the area for her and she wasn't hard to find either. I picked her out easily since she and the twins were the only ones in red. I couldn't help but smile knowing that she'd remembered my favourite colour and that she'd worn it for me. Damn, how I'd give anything to steal her lips right about now.
"Hey!" I greeted.
"Hey!" the twins chirped.
Lexi ran up to me and gave me a big hug. She was so cute sometimes and I couldn't help but think that if I had another little sister I'd want her to be exactly like her. She was usually so expressionless but when she got excited she became a whole other person. She was so much like her older sister and I couldn't help but wonder what she would be like when she was grown.
"The team is going out to celebrate the win. Do you guys want to tag along?" I announced.
"Sure," they replied in sync. "Can we Bree! Can we?"
"Not tonight guys," she sighed looking around desperately.
On closer look she appeared a little tired and there was a telltale of small bags forming under her eyes. When I thought back I realized that she's had a pretty busy weekend. I really wanted her there with me tonight but somehow I was more concerned with her well-being.
"Ah man Bree!" Reece groaned. "When are we going to get a chance like this again?"
"The season just started Reece. There'll be plenty more chances," she replied tiredly
"Please Bree! Please!" Lexi tried.
Bree looked like she was at her wits end so I stepped in quickly.
"Listen to your sister," I ordered.
They listened and stormed off while Bree looked positively relieved. She reached out and grabbed my hand and place my car keys in it.
"Here," she smiled. "Thanks for lending me your car. I owe you one."
"No prob," I shrugged.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow."
"Wait," I called grabbing her arm. I really wasn't ready for her to leave yet. I wanted her to stay at least a little longer. We hadn't really had any time to ourselves today and somehow I at least wanted to talk to her a little more. However, nothing came to mind so I decided to tease her a little instead.
