Ian's P. O. V
She was afraid, I could see that. He had done this to her. The fearless beauty I loved so much was gone and in her place was a timid girl who seemed to be afraid of her own shadow. But it would end today. I would end him today. I stalked through the doors with Bree hot on my heels. I hadn't expected her to do as I said but I was hoping that she wouldn't have to the watch the scene that was about to go down.
I noticed him immediately proped up on her car as though he owned it; as though he owned her. It made my blood boil. He was tall and lean but I could see that he was well built. His eyes were dark and uninviting as he stared at me with malicious intent. The feeling was mutual and I bawled my hands into fists until my knuckles cracked under the pressure.
"Yo," I called when I was about six feet away from him.
"Don't address me so casually little boy," he growled.
But he wasn't looking at me, his attention was on Bree as she ran into my back.
Ofcourse she wouldn't stay inside like I asked her to. But when had Bree ever listen to anything I said in the first place.
"Let's go back inside," she pleaded.
"So bad at keeping promises, Princessa," he sneered. "I guess you've prepared yourself for the consequences. Or Maybe you don't love him as much as you claim you do!"
I pushed her behind me to hide her from his view and his cold eyes darted to mine. He was animal. How could he want to cause a girl like Bree so much pain. I looked at the man who claimed to love her more than his life. The man that was obsessed with making her love him back but did he really believe that what he was doing was out of love? Could you hurt a person physically and torment them psychologically and still be able to call it love? She wasn't a woman to him more like a pet or possession to be locked in a cage for only his eyes to see. That wasn't love; it was plain cruelty and it would end today. I would make sure of it.
"You don't know the first thing about love," I spat scornfully. "It's regrettable that you ever got to lay your filthy eyes on her in the first place!"
"Filthy?" he repeated incredulously. "And what? A pathetic wimp like you thinks of yourself as worthy. Seems like you need another trip to the ER before you can know your place. Perhaps I should break those filthy hands of yours next so you'd keep them off of my woman!"
"That's funny, I don't seem to see your wife anywhere around. Perhaps you should go and find her!" I countered casually. "Anna, was it? I've laid hands on plenty of women but I'm sure I've never ventured to another continent in search of another man's p*ssy!"
Bree let out a soft giggle and his eyes darkened as they searched for her small body behind my larger frame. I reached my hand back securing her more tightly behind me from his threathening view. I wished she would have stayed inside. It was hard to concentrate with her so close and I needed to focus all of my attention on the threat in front of me. His eyes keen and alert and I knew he was observing me, trying to pick up on any weakness and Lord knows I only had one; the girl standing behind me.
"This is your only warning boya!" he growled out
"No!" I said more firmly. "This is your last warning! Stay away from my girlfriend."
Anger flickered in hid eyes and I knew our unfriendly exchanged of words had come to and end. That was fine by me. I wanted nothing but to pummel the bastard until he breathed his last breath. And something about the change in his countenance told me that he felt the same. His posture changed suddenly and he rose from his perch on the car. He was a few inches taller than me but I wasn't intimidated. I watched him carefully as he took a step towards me but something was off I his posture. He looked a little unsteady yet that didn't take away from lethality.
