chapter 25

"KYRA" i yelled in desperation to the forest, straining my ears listening for a response but only heard my voice echoing into the ever densing woods around me. 'crap' ive been out here hours trying to find her but to no avail, i glanced at my watch '3:26pm' i best head back, hopefully someone will be there.

i urged valentino on as fast as he would go, he felt my urgency his hooves hitting the ground independently, his silky mane flying in my face thing i must plait his mane next time i ride him! 

we got back to the ranch at 4pm and pulled valentino into a sliding stop sending dust everywhere and nearly sent reece flying. "where is everyone?" 

i saw zephyr running over out the corner of my eye "wheres kyra?" 

" i dont know isnt she here? alaska took off, she couldnt stop him ive been looking since 1pm!"

zephyrs face dropped "shes not here, reece is alaska back yet?"

" i havent seen him and been here all afternoon" 

as he said that blue and levi rode round the corner with alaska in tow

"fuck!" i yelled out loud to get raised eyebrows from everyone around me

"who was riding alaska" the girl named levi yelled across the parking lot

"kyra was" i answered as they drew closer

"so where is she?" blue asked face full of worry flitting her gaze from levi to me

"i dont know" i muttered with a sigh 

"well we better come up with a plan to find her, dont you think?"

we all turned round to the commotion going on behind us, the yard dog was going mental at something in the woods, he ran halfway towards us then ran towards the forest then back towards us again

"something tells me that randy wants us to follow him!"

"well lets follow him then!" zephyr said as he jumped on alaskas back "reece grab the 4x4 and follow us"

"im on it" reece yelled over his shoulder as he ran for the jeep, we followed randy for what seemed like ages to find him sat next to kyra, zephyr was the first on to reach her.

"shes still breathing" he said as he carefully scooped her up and put her in the passenger seat of reeces jeep, he lloked over at blue, "you two are a pain in the arse, two accidents in two days! "

"oh shhh, lets get her back already" blue yelled in annoyance

"ok ok lets go.

we quickly rode back and put the horses back in their stables and headed over to the drs office

"shes going to be ok, she needs rest, come back and see her tommorow" dr francis addressed us all "shes got concussion and is still unconcious but her vitals are getting stronger every hour so should be awake shortly."
