Kyra pov

"No!" I screamed out loud in half a sob, sitting bolt upright as I did so, I took a minute to catch my breath as I pulled my pyjama top free from my sweaty body, I glanced through my open door to the other room. Thankfully I hadn't woke up my cabin mate with my sudden outburst. I crawled out of bed through to the ensuite bathroom.

leaning on the sink I rolled my head round trying to free my tight muscles letting my head hang when I had finished, I glanced at the mirror, my hair was everywhere and I looked a mess, grabbing my brush I ran it through so I didn't look so bad and let the cold water run. 'is this really happening? ' I thought to myself, of course it isn't I'm just being stupid as always I reassured my self as I cupped some of the water with my hand and splashed my face bringing me back to reality.

I picked my shoes up as I made for the front door being careful not to make any more loud noises, once outside I slipped them on and walked across the paddock and to what I thought would be the mess hall.

I made myself a cup of hot chocolate and sat on the seat closest to the burning embers of what was last nights wood fire, I pulled my legs up infront of me as I watched the embers flicking.

too busy in my thought I didn't even here anyone enter behind me.

"cant sleep?" I looked round to see zephyr leaning against the frame of the door

"like to scare people don't you"

"sorry... Didn't mean to" he spoke in a soft genuine apologetic tone

his tone threw me slightly "what about you?" I threw back at him

he shrugged "what about you then" he sat opposite me and waited for my response but I looked away from him not wanting to answer.

"Kyra... Look at me" his voice was somewhat soothing and calm, I slowly turned to look at him, his eyes were soft and calming and full of questions. They fascinated me they were stoney grey almost white in colour. "you can always talk to me you know"

I blinked and looked back at the embers mumbling "just a bad dream" although i could tell he wasn't convinced.
