My heart was racing so much that it could of jumped out of my chest as I struggled against the person who was holding me. I tried to kick, wiggle but nothing was any good.
"You're not going anywhere," a familiar voice whispered in my ear.
I saw the last glimpse of mine and Joe's room as something went over my head to make it dark. Someone lifted me up so I was carried somewhere.I didn't know what to do. I wanted to scream and kick and punch, but none of that was possible. My breathing became delayed as I started panicking. The muffled sounds of feet and doors opening and closing filled my ears as water spilled from my eyes.
Have they hurt Oli? Is Oli okay? Oh my god!
I was sat down on a chair and whatever was coving my head was removed. My eyes adjusted to the light as I realised we were in my basement. It was full of boxes from when we first moved in. We had promised to sort this room out but never got round to it. I started to struggle as someone tied the back of my hands around the chair.
Still struggling to breathe, I felt a hand on my shoulder as someone whispered in my ear. "Well, well, well..." They began. My head shot round, "there's no way out of this one Hannah."
My eyes adjusted to a tall dark haired guy.
"Alfie?" I said under my breath. He twisted round to the front of me and gave me a creepy smile. "If this is a prank, I swear to god..."
"Oh, Hannah. This is deadly serious." He informed me. I heard footsteps from behind me and he was soon joined by Oli.
I looked in horror at him as he looked me in the eyes. "I'm sorry," he began, "but you know too much..."
"No no no! This isn't real!" I panicked. "Why are you framing Joe? Why?" Tears spilled from my eyes.
I looked Alfie in the eye. "You! You came into this house. You placed the book there!" I tried to kick him but he moved. "Does Zoe know? You stole the keys from her!"
"Of course she doesn't know." He laughed. "To her, I'm perfect right?"
My stomach churned in disgust. Everything finally started clicking together in my mind. The jigsaw was finally coming together.
"Oli," I turned to him with tears in my eyes, "why are you helping this low life scum?" He placed his hand on my cheek as the door creaked open behind us.
There stood Caspar with a swollen lip bleeding profusely. He was being held from behind by a tall muscular guy. I turned back to Alfie and Oli still crouching. "How many of you are involved in this?"
"Just us three now," Oli replied "until we Caspar trying to text you."
I swapped a look with Caspar. He looked so scared. I'd never seen that side of him before. He gave me a slight reassuring smile.
"I was only ever involved to try and protect them." He said under his breath. We sat there in silence thinking. "So, why Joe? Why is Joe waiting trail when it wasn't him? Please tell me. I think you're going to kill me anyway so please tell me." I pleaded.
Marcus shot a look at the two boys who stood there smirking slightly.
"Fine," Alfie began, "I'll tell you everything." He placed his hand on my knee grinning like the Cheshire Cat.
