"I agree." I said almost instantly. I couldn't let my friends death hang over my head. Oli tapped away at his phone.

"There sorted." My eyes were welling up. Why would he do this to me. He placed a kiss on my cheek and stood up taking my hand to help me up.

"I need to make a few calls." He said and left me in the room, door locking again.

I lost it. Everything hit me. Sadness, anger, hate. I was inconsolable. Every single emotion had come all at once.

I don't know how long I was there for when Oli came back in the room. "We need to leave now." He grabbed my hand and pulled me up and out of the door. There was a corridor with stairs at the end. Oli was still pulling me along.

"Oli, please tell me what's going on." He didn't answer me. We went up the stairs and out through a red door. I adjusted my eyes to the light difference and I suddenly realised where we were.

Zoe's house.

I stopped in my tracks. "HANNAH!" Oli shouted at me. "WE HAVE TO GO!"

"Does... Does Zoe know?!" I asked him.

"I'll explain everything in the car, but we need to get out of here." His urgency distracted me from all my questions. I followed him outside and got in the passenger side of his grey Mercedes. I always liked Oli's car, more than Joe's, but now was not the time to probe my question everyone hates.

I hadn't even closed the door properly when Oli set off. His eyes fixed on the road, every now and then looking around in the mirrors. I presumed to make sure no one was following us.

Around a minute into our journey out of Brighton, a squad of sirens flew past us. I knew exactly where they were going.

"What about Caspar?" I looked at Oli who was concentrating on the road.

Oli placed his hand on my knee. I felt wrong. It all went wrong. "Caspar will be fine." He sighed. "I was never going to let anything happen to both of you."

"Oli..." I looked at him "I don't understand."

"Hannah, I was just trying to get you out alive."

"No, you blackmailed me. You did all this to get me? Right?" I wasn't even sure what was going on anymore.

"Everything was an act. I was the same as Caspar, in it to protect you. Just that Caspar got caught." I still didn't understand. "When this all happened, we knew it would be pinned on Joe. Me and Caspar made a pact to try and protect you both without you guys knowing what was going on. It was us who gave Joe the idea of taking you back to Norfolk. We thought they'd never find you there." I listened intently as he carried on. "I love you to bits Hannah, and yes when you and Joe got together it broke me, but all I ever wanted to do was see you happy and with him, you are so happy. Alfie and Marcus had known for a while, because stupid me blurted it out night whiles drunk, but in a way, I was glad I did..."

"Why?" I interrupted.

"Because it gave me the excuse I needed to 'get back at Joe'."

"So you aren't blackmailing me?" I quizzed eyes narrowed.

"No... I'm not." He looked at me briefly then turned back to the road. "I promise."

I believed him. I actually believed him. I put my head back on the headrest and closed my eyes. "I hope Caspar is okay." I turned to face Oli who was driving through the outskirts of Brighton towards London. "Where did Marcus take him?"

"Just to another part of the house. Don't worry. I told him not to hurt him."

"Before you came in though..."

"Not badly then..." I tear escaped from my eye. "The police would of found them now. Caspar will be okay."

I nodded and went back to closing my eyes. I couldn't wait to be back in my own surroundings. My own bed. I understood this was now a waiting game, but how long would we have to wait?
