Felicity's POV
"So, why did you stop coming to visit Starling?" Oliver asks as we're driving, even though I've been doing my best not to pay attention to him.

"My aunt died, and... My mom couldn't afford to send me to Starling anymore..."

"I wish you would've... It was nice. Laurel had fun with you, being around another girl."

"It was nice just having friends..."

"That makes it sound like you didn't have many." My eyes begin to brim with tears, and I stay quiet, scared of what I would say.

"Hey, you okay?"

"Ya... It's just, Laurel has been my only friend for most of my life..."

"Well now you have two." I look at him and see he's being serious.

"Thanks Oliver... That means a lot to me..."

"If the past few years have taught me anything, it's to live everyday to the fullest. You never know when it's your time to go..."

Out of nowhere there's a blinding light, and I see a car heading straight towards us.

"Oliver look out!" He swerves the car so that the van crashes into the driver side. I feel a shooting pain in my head and arm.

My ears are ringing, and my vision is a complete mess. As I get my surroundings to become clearer, I realize that we are upside down.

"Oliver are you alright...?" I see him clench his fist, but he's awake.

"I'll be fine. Are you hurt?"

"I have a bad headache, but I think it's the most of it."

"I guess you should've walked..." I look over and see him closing his eyes.

"Oliver don't you dare. Common stay... Stay with me." To late. And I can already feel exhaustion sinking in.

When I wake up my entire body feels numb. The memories of what had occurred are groggy, making it hard to remember anything.

There's a nasal cannula up my nose, helping my breathing. An a few different IV's are attached to various parts of my body.

My eyes land on Laurel sitting in the chair next to the bed. She's fast asleep, so I yell at her.

"Laurel!" She practically jumps three feet out of the chair onto her feet. Looking around wildly, she finally realizes it was only me shouting.

"Felicity! What the heck?! You nearly-"

"Killed you?" She glares at me for a moment before sitting down.

"How do you feel?" She finally asks, running a hand through her hair. I sit there doing a mental check of all my limbs. There's nothing missing so that has to be a good thing.

"I'll be fine... Just a major headache right now."

"Well they said you have a small concussion, so that's probably why. Felicity what happened to you guys?"

"I-I don't really know... One minute we were talking, then there was a bright flash, and then we were... I think we were upside down..."

"So someone ran into you guys?"

"Ya... Why?"

"There was no other cars when the ambulance and police arrived at the scene... You and Oliver were already knocked out..."

"Oliver! Is he okay?!" Laurel sits there, saying nothing... Panic begins to rise within me...
