Felicity's POV
"He's pretty sore and a few broken ribs, but he's gonna be okay. His mom, sister, and Tommy are with him." Laurel finally says after a good long five minutes of silence.

"What about his dad?"

"His father died three months ago... In a car accident." Something seems to register on her face.

"Laurel?"

"Common!" She drags me from the bed and I'm glad to see that I'm wearing actual clothes.

"Where are we going?"

"I think someone is targeting the Queens!" I look at my other arm and see my wrist is in a brace, as we run into Oliver's room.

"Mrs. Queen, may I have a word with you?"

"Laurel, and... You are?"

"Felicity."

"She's my friend." Laurel leads Mrs. Queue from the room and Tommy turns to talk to Thea. She immediately turns her attention to me.

"So your Felicity?"

"You know me?"

"Ollie was awake before the doctors had to sedate him. They said he was screaming, that he wanted to see you."

"Really?" I look at Tommy who nods his head, confirming what Thea said.

"What?"

"I don't know, but my brother hasn't had a girlfriend since Sara, so it's going to take a lot to get through to him."

"You're telling me this because?"

"Just a hunch."

"And I just realized I just missed my first day of class... This is great."

"You're worrying about classes right now when my best friend is in the hospital, because he was driving you home!" Tommy screams at me, and I feel terrible.

What was I thinking?
Exactly, I don't think in these kinds of situations, my mouth just takes over. I turn on my heel, leaving the room. Before I leave I can here Thea yelling at him.

"What the heck Tommy? That wasn't fair! She didn't plan this!" Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I leave the hospital.

I don't belong with people like that. I was raised by a single mother, who could barely keep a roof over my head and allow me to go to school. She was hardly home, and when she was, she didn't give me the time of day.

Then when my aunt died, I lost my only friend, and I got in with bad crowds. I got myself into trouble, deep trouble. Then it took me my senior year to dig myself out from under. Just barely scratching by, to get into college.

When I look up again I'm standing in front of the crash from the night before. The car is totaled, and the van is no where to be seen. If I had only walked home last night, this would've never happened.
