Bilyana watched as each of her daughters curtsy toward the men each was to marry. This made Bilyana nervous, yet very excited, for she was the one who chose the men her daughters would spend the rest of their lives with and produce legacies of the family bloodline with. After they courtesies were exchanged, Bilyana left her daughters and their intended husbands to find her own husband, and king.
Walking the halls towards her bedroom, Bilyana began to remember the first time she met Stoyan. I was so young. So was Stoyan, to be fair, but he was a prince. I was no princess. His mother chose me, over all the others. I remember walking into that room, it was so beautiful, full of paintings, intricate rugs and carpets, wonderful furniture, and oh the food. But the most wonderful sight was Stoyan. He was so handsome. His long blonde hair was tucked back, and he wore a crown of gold that had rubies covering most of it. And when I approached him, he said nothing, but walked around me to my back to place a gold necklace around my neck with one large ruby in the center of the medallion. Placing her hand to her neck, she felt the necklace in its place. She was getting closer, and her eyes filled with tears. He told me that he would protect me, love me, and raise children with me. That was all I had ever wanted when I was that age.
Grabbing the cold stone door that led her to her bedroom, she found Stoyan inside, and with a big smile, she approached him, and pulled him in a long hug. On our wedding day he promised me that he loved me, and I did the same. And that night was probably the best night of my entire life. I was so young.
"Stoyan, do you remember our wedding night?" Bilyana whispered into his ear, still holding him close.
"Why would I?" he joked, "It was only the night I became king, a husband, and became a man."
Placing her lips slowly onto her husband's, Bilyana felt sorry for her daughters. While hoping the best for them, she was worried that no match would ever be as good as Bilyana's match with Stoyan.
"I worry for our daughters. I want them to be as happy as I was when I took your hand at the altar, when I laid aise you in our wedding bed that night, and when I woke up next to you the next day," she professed, finally letting her husband go.
Grabbing Bilyana's thigh through her dress, Stoyan pulled his queen back towards his body, flinging her to their large bed beside them.
"I want our daughters to be able to feel the way we do about one another when they are our age."
"Bilyana, I'm pretty sure this is fun for everyone, no matter age."
Giggling, Bilyana pulled her dress far up her waist, allowing her husband to enter her. With a deep sigh from Stoyan, he muttered softly between thrusts, "I love you."
After pleasure filled Bilyana to her core, she fell onto her back, panting. "And I you."
--------
A soft knock on the door awoke Bilyana and Stoyan quickly. Pulling her dress down and flattening it, Bilyana ran towards the door to open it.
"My queen," a handmaiden of her daughters curtseyed, "Stoyae and Hristo are having a bit of a problem."
"Continue."
"Stoyae claims Hristo tried to touch her bodice."
"If this is true, I-"
"My queen, it is entirely false. I was in the room delivering food and chaperoning."
"You mean to say my daughter was lying? Why would she?"
"You see my queen, Stoyae put spice in Hristo's wine, causing him to gag and spit up onto the table, humiliating him. She then tripped him as he walked past her to grab a napkin from me, to only spill more wine on his pants as he sat back down."
"Handmaiden, thank you for this information. It seems as though I will need to put in some word with my daughter."
Bowing again, the handmaiden spoke, "yes my queen. One more piece of information for you and the king."
Stoyan moved closer to the door to listen.
"Haenla of Obril, along with two other women, and three knights, have escaped, stealing a military ship setting sail for Obril."
Suddenly Stoyan became furious. Still halfway undressed, Stoyan marched out of the doorway, while struggling to pull his pants tight and tuck his shirt in. Bilyana knew no good could come from this.
"Thank you, you may leave."
"My queen," the handmaiden said before leaving Bilyana standing in the doorway to her bedroom.
Bilyana knew military and war were a couple things she should avoid. Instead of going to comfort her husband, Bilyana left her bedroom to find her daughter, Stoyae.
It was not long before she heard the cries. Rounding a corner, Bilyana found Stoyae reduced to a puddle of tears before her.
"Stoyae, my darling girl, why are you crying?"
"Mother, my intended tried to grasp my breast. I hate him mother."
Bilyana's stomach dropped. Although she knew Hristo did no such thing, Bilyana hated herself for not being able to find a good match for Stoyae.
"It is your duty to marry him. If he tried to touch you, it only means he is a sexual man, and that isn't always a bad thing."
"Mother, I hate him."
"It is you duty-"
"I would rather freeze to death in the tundra naked than marry Hristo. He is a fool, mother."
"Stop your tears and tell me what you want from a man, and I will find that for you in Hristo."
"Mother. I..."
"Yes?"
Stoyae began again in her crying. Feeling as though nothing could stop the nonsense that was Stoyae's emotions, Bilyana left to find Story and Stoyana.
"Mother, I am very happy with Petar. He is such a gentleman, a true good man," Story confessed, grabbing her mother's hands.
"I am pleased to hear so, Story. What about Zaten, Stoyana?" Bilyana smiled.
"He... He's... All I could have ever hoped for in a husband, mother. When can I marry him?" Stoyana sung, jumping all around.
"I did not realize that this was a possible outcome of today. If you are happy Stoyana, you can be married to Petar as early as tomorrow afternoon."
"Then let it happen," Stoyana screeched, flailing her arms excitedly, causing her large breasts to move about her dress and revealing them even more than they were before.
"Pull up that dress girl," Bilyana pressured, pulling Stoyana's dress up, "Why must you dress like a harlot?"
"Mother!" Stoyana ejected.
----
That next day, Stoyana and Petar were married. Although Stoyan would never admit it, Bilyana saw a few tears escape his eyes as he watched his first daughter marry and become one with another man, now under his protection. The feast was brilliant, despite being scheduled only hours before. Sharing their first kiss before the wedding guests, Stoyana and Petar looked in each other's eyes with something that Bilyana thought could be love. Or at least she hoped it was love and not lust.
That night, lying next to Stoyan, Bilyana prayed Stoyana would have no fear in her wedding bed, that she would conceive a child tonight, and that she would find pleasure in doing so. She prayed for Story, and even more so for Stoyae.
